[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally LG products are reliable. However, my washer started to make a terrible noise on the spin cycles. The noise was so bad that my cats were howling and found a place to hide. Although, I have to say that LG customer service dispatched a technician to troubleshoot the problem. The drum drive bearing froze. I needed a new drum with a new bearing and electrical stator. Th LG Technician had it working in a few hours once the parts came in. The technician stated that this type of problem was virtually unheard of especially on a new machine. After two weeks without a washer all is well now. I especially like the large drum. It can hold and wash large items like blankets and small throw rugs. This washer replaced an over ten-year LG washer with direct drive. The old washer experienced the same bearing issue as my new machine, and it would not be economical to repair given the age of the washer. My LG dryer is also over ten years old and still dying away. I'll replace it when needed--in another ten years or so. Overall, the problem was a fluke and have the highest confidence in LG products.

I've had this washer for a little over a month and am very impressed with how well it washes clothes while using less water. I love all the options available as I'm quite picky about how I like certain items to be washed, for how long and how much spin, etc. This washer is just so much better than my previous one. I have no complaints at all. And the app is very handy as well.

Can’t say I’ve noticed whether or not clothes come out cleaner than with our old washer but it seems to be doing a good job. The newer features from what the old washer had I’m still learning to use. Especially the steam wash setting. WiFi connectivity has been a great bonus. Tracking use and maintenance reminders have offered a peace of mind. Not that I don’t care well for our new washer and dryer but reminders always help. Im likely not using either the washer or dryer to their full potential but maybe some day.

We have really enjoyed our LG washer now for a year. It washes clothes well and does an excellent job of spinning out the water, making drying easier. Recently, when using normal or heavy duty mode, it defaults to "turbo wash" and there is no way I can turn it off. When I use other modes, the turbo wash does not come on, even with the same load. It seems that the washer weighs what I have put in and if it is not "heavy enough" then the turbo wash kicks in and I can't get it to turn off! The machine has a mind of its own and will not listen to my direction. It seems that this just started in the last 3 months, probably related to a software update. I love everything about this washer, except for when it does not listen to me. It reminds me of the SciFi films when machines take over and mankind is doomed!

My previous washer could not handle the blankets for the bedroom, but the LG has handled the blankets and everything else. I knew 6 months ago that when the time came for a new washer, it was going to be a LG. Why? Two reasons - I had an LG Dryer that I loved and Consumer Reports rated the LG washer I wanted #1. Now it's time to look for other LG appliances for my home. Thank you so much LG!

Gave old washer to a friend and it is still working. I just love the new washer. Only choice for a replacement was another LG washer, but it is beyond all expectations.

Makes the dryer much more efficient since the clothes have less moisture to begin with. Handles our cloth diapers with ease compared to our last top-loader. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second LG washer. My first set I had for over 10 years with no issues. So I went back to LG again and I’m very happy. The AI technology makes it really efficient. What used to take 15 minutes to wash may now take 23 minutes because it has better detection of load size and water usage. I also love the Wi-Fi and app sync. It sounds silly, but getting a notification when the cycles are done means the clothes don’t sit. Love that. Here’s to at least another 10 years with this set.

I couldn't be any happier with this LG.. They've integrated more tech than you could ever imagine. All with out loosing sight of what it truly is, a washing machine.. It's very simple and easy to use, especially with the app. At first a person may shudder at the cost, but the versatility of this machine is well worth it. Not only does it perform better than a traditional top loader, but it'll also steam, santize, refresh and control allergens.. If that's not awesome enough, there's a total of 27 different wash cycles to guarantee garment cleaning perfection. Now I can forever reign supreme in my home as the laundry king.
