I did not know washers could be this great. I'm impressed by the smart interface and the features of the washer. It is incredibly convenient to have the washer sense how big the load is and display a timer on the interface. No need to check the laundry room to see if your clothes are still washing! I'm also impressed by how dry the clothes are after the spin cycle completes. I definitely save money on electricity on less time spent drying clothes.

The feature I was concerned most was the pump cleanout access ,after years of pulling the pump on another name brand. I was a little concerned of noise reviews, but mine is quiet as can be. Wife and I have needed a water softener for a couple years, so decided on the stacking pair .Wife is 5 feet 2 and reaches controls just fine.

Hers are still going strong! Since I had such a great experience with my old set, I chose to replace them with LG again. I am again very satisfied. Easy to use, easy to clean. They seem to wash a little faster and dry quicker also. A big bonus with energy prices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did a lot of research before deciding on this model, and are very happy with the purchase. The machine washes clothes well, which is the top priority. There are a lot of settings to choose from, you'll probably use two or three standard ones most of the time. This is our first front loader, and we had some concerns about moisture around the seal. The best way to prevent that is to give the seal a quick wipe after using, and leave the door slightly ajar to let air circulate.

We're very satisfied with how quiet it operates, and the range of options available for different types of loads - e.g. for towels. One note - we purchased the (empty) pedestals... they add significant height to the units, which is convenient for loading/unloading; however, make sure there is enough room under existing cabinets. In our case, it is now difficult to reach to back of overhead cabinets without using a small ladder or stool.

I've had this washer for just 2 months, but discovered it will leak (a lot) if too much detergent is used, and "too much" is less than the amount indicated as "max." If it's this fussy about the amount of detergent, then the machine should be doing the measuring; I shouldn't have to guess.

But comes without detailed operating instructions and it is necessary to learn those details through trial and error experiences. Also, control panel is difficult to read. Finally, low stance makes access inconvenien unless separate expensive and overly large stand also is purchased.

What a surprise to find this washer with matching stackable dryer in a rental unit! I've only been using it for two months, so cannot vouch for long term use, but it has been superb. Very quiet, never wobbles nor shakes. Gets the job done, in style.

Look at LG's photo on its website of the back of the washer showing how the drain hose wraps all around the back. This tells you that the drain hose is long enough to reach a drain on the left or the right of the washer. Then look at my photo of what we got with our new WM4000HBA washer. This is what you will get. The drain hose is so short that it cannot reach a drain to the left side of the washer. Then ask your dealer for a drain hose extension and you will be told that LG does not make an extension and does not sell a longer drain hose and that you have to solve this problem on your own. Since we can't even use the machine, we can't give it a rating of good or bad. I can only say this is not what is advertised and it shows very poor engineering and customer service by LG.

From the minute we opened the original packaging, it smelled musty and mildewy and even very plasticky. I have chatted three different times now with support, and every time I end up getting cut off before the conversation is finished? Every time we start off and they tell me that either the drain pipe is being put in incorrectly or something with the plumbing system. Every time I have to convince them first that it smelled right out of the package before it was even connected to the plumbing system. No one has ever followed up from these chats even though full names and email addresses were exchanged at the beginning.
