[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this over a month ago and notice that on all settings with the exception of the Highest Spin level or the Sanitary wash cycle, my clothes retain more water than they did with my old LG front load washing machine. I had to replace my 2013 LG front load washer recently and I purchased the equivalent model LG front load washer and am noticing this less than satisfactory issue with water extraction.

My new machine has many more functions than my older one. I would have preferred to have a light in the drum on my new machine. That is the only thing lacking.

Do not buy this washer. Numerous people have complained about a chemical smell like dry cleaning fluid. We have tried to run this washer several times since receiving this washer 3 days ago. We even tried a commercial washer cleaning tablet (afresh). The chemical smell has not dissipated. The chemical odor gives me a headache, which is a sign of neurotoxin exposure. LG wants me to run the washer several more times to get rid of the odor, but many customers who have owned this product complain that the odor does not go away even after a year of use. Save your health and buy another brand of washer. If you don't believe, me, read all the other negative reviews on this product chemical smell written by customers who have owned this product over a long period of time and who cannot get rid of the odor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've just completed 30 washes, and the reason I know that is the app reminded me that it was time to run a tub clean cycle. After some initial issues getting my washer connected to the WiFi, I was able to connect and that part works great. As far as the washer, I love it. There are a lot of different settings and options. I think I use less detergent and my clothes are cleaner. I also think the regular spin cycle cuts down on my drying time. I switched from a top loading machine to this model and I'm glad I did. There's a little extra maintenance to this machine (wiping it down after I'm finished with laundry). I really like this machine and I really enjoy the app feature. So far, no mildew smells and my clothes come out clean and fresh.

Product is very versatile and the downloaded cycles help to manage laundry loads. The WiFi functions between washer and dryer make laundry easier.

This new machine is a front loader with many settings which are a great help compared to the previous machine. It cleans well and is recommended by a magazine which does evaluations. We especially like the feature which advises how much time is left. Another plus is the ability to add all products; soap, fabric softener, etc. at the beginning of the cycle and be done with it. If you've ever used a laundromat machine, you will love this machine. A great machine.

I was excited when my old washer finally stopped working, because it meant I could get the LG washer I’d had my eye on. It didn’t disappoint. I’m glad we got the ThinQ technology. It is so freaking cool that I get notified on my phone when a load is done, I have more wash options in the app, and if there are any issues I could check diagnostics. Now just waiting for my old dryer to break so I can get the set...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace my 6 year old Samsung set which was having drum and timing issues. I knew I wanted a reliable brand, but was in between LG and GE. After doing months of research, I decided to go with the LG. It’s slimmer and more modern than the GE model I was considering. When they came to install the set, the installer could not say enough good things about the set which made me more comfortable with my decision. Excitedly I put load, after load, after load in the washer and was impressed with its performance. Not only did my clothes look cleaner, the washer is considerably more quite than my last one. Even with the laundry door open and the washer going, I can barely hear it running (I live in a small, apartment). I have not used all of the features, but the bright white and sanitize cycles have amazed me. Sturdy, nice looking and well performing, I’m happy with my purchase.

I've had this washer for just 2 months, but discovered it will leak (a lot) if too much detergent is used, and "too much" is less than the amount indicated as "max." If it's this fussy about the amount of detergent, then the machine should be doing the measuring; I shouldn't have to guess.
