Love the size and look and function of this machine. It requires extra effort to keep the door and its seal dry and prevent a musty odor in the drum. We are currently drying the door’s window and seal with a towel and leaving the door wide open overnight each time we wash. We weren’t expecting this inconvenience. Really like the way it pairs with the dryer to automatically select a dry setting.

The LG 4000 washing machine is frustrating because I want to quickly select particular water fill amount, temperature, spin speed, amount of time for cycle, etc. and I find myself dialing through all the different cycle options to find out which ones have the temps and options I’m needing. Then once a type of cycle is selected, I can only change a few of the options but not all, and it takes a few minutes after starting to find out the cycle duration- so then I often press stop and start over if it is estimated to take too long (over an hour or so). The washer is also noisy throughout the cycles. Disappointed.

Mine was installed as a stackable unit. I absolutely LOVE the way it washes and dry's my clothes. I'm very tech oriented, so the APP functionality is right up my alley. I totally recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just purchased our Washer & like the Dryer we also purchased, so far so good. It is so quiet that I often forget it is running, we love that! Can't give it a 5-star as of yet but we hope to when we have had it for a while and see. What I would change is the lighting in the display because it is very difficult to read the print, the lighting appears next to your selection but if you can't see what you're selecting it actually defeats the purpose of any lighting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new machine works well . Has many settings and 2 of them are of shorter time which I find very convenient. Heavy duty does a great job too, it is the longest cycle but worthwhile. This is my first LG appliance.

I've only run about six loads in the past few weeks. The clothes seem clean but I'm concerned that there's moisture left in the front door seal and in the detergent cups. I've never had a front-loader before. Is this normal? And I'll never need most of the features and certainly not the wifi enabled ones!

It has been remarkably reliable, devoid of any operational issues. The washing process is remarkably efficient, and the machine operates with minimal noise. The sole exception to this positive experience is the absence of a drum light. This oversight by LG is a notable deficiency. Despite this minor inconvenience, I wholeheartedly recommend this washing machine. Notably, its cleaning capabilities surpass those of my previous top-load Speed Queen washer.

I knew I would buy another LG washer and dryer based on a long run with the original pair with no issues. I have washed several loads so far with my washer and the first thing I noticed is that it is so quiet. Then I noticed how quickly it runs through a cycle, and I have washed towels and clothes. It rings the clothes very well and it takes my Tide pod with no issues. I just throw the pod in the barrel not in the dispenser (very important). So far, very happy with my purchase. Plus it's a very attractive machine. Haven't used the Wifi yet, but will get that set up soon.

We sold our house and bought a similar washer and dryer in our new house. We love it. Easy to use, quiet, and cleans extremely well. Dryer works perfectly too!

My favorite things are the wifi/app connectivity, the spin cycle is incredible, the clothes are completely rung out after the cycle and take no time to dry. They are also PRETTY and fancy! The washer can hold a ton of stuff too! I could not be happier with this set.
