Overall Impressions and Pros This model is stunning - the matte black steel and glass display will make this microwave really stand out (in a good way) in any kitchen. From an appliance standpoint, the microwave does everything a microwave normally does such as heat food up at an impressive 1,000 watts, defrosting, and sensor cooking, which allows the microwave to heat up your food to the optimal temperature based on its smart sensors. This model offers a spacious 2.1 cu. ft of capacity so you can load it up with your biggest dishes. In addition to the standard features, this microwave has WiFi! You may be wondering why you need WiFi on a microwave. This microwave connects to the Samsung SmartThings app and allows you to do things like create custom food cooking programs and sync with your Samsung stove/range to turn the ventilation fan on and off when you use your stove - pretty cool! My favorite thing about having WiFi is the clock sets itself - no more staring at a blinking “12:00” and having to figure out how to set the time. SmartThings App and Features Linking this microwave to the Samsung SmartThings app unlocks additional features. In addition to doing basic things like setting the time and sending cook settings, you can view how much energy your microwave is using with the SmartThings Energy feature. Cons The only con that comes to mind is the “fingerprint-resistant” finish isn’t entirely resistant to fingerprints, but cleaning the exterior is a breeze with a soft cloth and some water to keep the matte black and glass front looking sharp. It cooks as a microwave would be expected to. Has the 30 sec button you can use for quick touch. Inside the door it has coming times for many of different food items. Works great. Bright white light illuminates the stove top and you can control it on and off from your phone. Easy to open and close the door and to set the cook times. The sound is so low compared to the previous microwave. Has the beep reminder that your food is ready.

The blue inside of the cooking area is a nice upgrade and easier to keep clean and free of stains. I do feel the buttons are a bit hard to push and not as responding as I would like them to be. The app is nice touch, it notifies me on my phone when the food is ready. The microwave door opens fully and has a large opening for cooking larger items. The sensor cook is a nice touch and helps keep from over cooking the food, especially for the kids in our home. I love being able to utilize Alexia to turn on ventilation and lighting on the microwave. That is a super cool feature if I am coming into a dark kitchen late at night. Other than that it is a great fixture for my kitchen. It was needed and used on a daily basis. Essential item for my household!

Cons: window is so high that I can't see in (I'm 5'6", so not short), presets are extremely limited. I hate that there's no preset for soup. Seriously? Why not? I used it on our previous microwave all the time to reheat soups. A lot of times I just end up using the +30 second button to reheat because the reheating settings don't work that great.
