Difficult to shred because it’s too moist and too soft. Also neither the texture nor the flavor is truly “sharp” in my opinion. This is not my first choice for block sharp cheddar. It’s really mediocre as cheddar goes. I love cheese and this is somewhat disappointing.

Our favorite & affordable. We prefer sliced cheese, but Sam’s can’t stock the sliced sharp cheddar. So this block cheese is our fall back product. Makes really good cheese sandwiches, especially grilled! Also shredded onto tacos or burritos. Or added to salads.

There are better cheddar cheeses out there but they would cost easily twice as much as Member Mark's brand. This is the best price for cheddar when I use it for cooking. I will pay more for a better cheddar when I'm just using it for snacking. Grandkids all loved this on crackers and when you're feeding 5 grandkids for 10 days it is very economical.

It's usually not so sharp more of a normal cheese Sharpness in my opinion. But cheese industry seems to be rushing the age process and using Peta approved artificial chemicals to start off hard chease has not helped the industry's consistancy issues.

This is delicious cheese that is cut beautifully with a cheese slicer. The taste is just right; I don't care much for the mild or extra sharp. Two slices for the bread almost perfectly. I ate the cheese over a period of a couple of three weeks, and it stayed mold free and sliceable.

We used to buy pre-shredded cheese and then switched to this sharp cheddar block. We use it each weekend for a deli tray on Sunday lunchtime along with fresh veggies, hummus dip, deli sausage slices and crackers. During the week, I often find myself shredding it up for side dishes like cauliflower cheese or to go on a baked potato or a bowl of chili. It isn't super sharp but still has a nice texture and flavor. Stores well and seems to have no problem lasting 4-5 weeks in our fridge. If you freeze it, it does become crumbly, so if we need to freeze it, we normally only freeze half of it.

Love when I can grab this two pound block of cheddar cheese as I like that on my sandwich. The cheese tastes great and the only thing I do if I make the time is use my slicer to cut it and be ready. It also would be easy as a basic cube on a charcuterie board.

Great value block of Sharp Cheddar! We prefer small or medium bags of shredded cheddar. But we notice that both Sam's Club and the main competitor here have stopped carrying shredded cheddar. Interesting... However, this cheddar is very flavorful, shreds well, and stays fresh a long tine if properly sealed between uses. 2lb works well for us.

Very good quality cheese and a great price. The cheese has a fresher taste than the shredded cheese but that’s due to the processing and wax bath of the shredded cheese to keep it from sticking together. It shreds easily and melts evenly over our favorite dishes. Definitely a must for home cooking.
