[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Smithfield Hometown Original Fully Cooked Bacon, complimentary, in exchange for my honest opinion thanks to @influenster and @smithfield. I was thrilled at the idea of purchasing fully cooked bacon because as an on-the-go parent, some days require a miracle when it comes to making breakfast in a hurry. What I also love about bacon is that it’s so versatile it can be used in dishes for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner so reducing the cooking time required to prepare bacon is something I’m excited about. I have been a fan of the Smithfield brand in general for some time so when I was given this opportunity to try this product, I was very happy. I decided to use my Smithfield Hometown Original Fully Cooked Bacon to prepare a BLT sandwich, nothing fancy, just a quick sandwich for lunch. This is a 2.1 OZ pack so it should have between 14-16 slices of bacon in it which it did. The first thing I noticed was how tiny and thin the slices were,, but I had hoped that the flavor and taste would’ve compensated the small portion sizes. Sadly, this was not the case. I ended up needing about 5-6 slices for one small sandwich and even so, I still didn’t get much of the flavor from the bacon which was upsetting. I usually like Hometown Original flavor so I had high hopes for this product as it’s convenient and easy to prepare but ,unfortunately, the taste just wasn’t there or possibly I needed to double up on the portion just to get a good sandwich. I gave this product 3 stars for these reasons. I’m not sure if I’d purchase this in the future, but if you’re just needing a quick bacon to add to breakfast or an omelette, this one should suffice. #influenster #smithfield #hometownoriginal #bacon #blt #productreviews

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my house we all love bacon for breakfast or as a side dish in some meals, sometimes the time to cook it is long, so we tried this version of fully cooked and ready-to-eat bacon, we really loved it, its flavor is Just as if it were freshly cooked, much easier and faster to prepare, we just heat it up and it's ready, it has the perfect balance between flavor and saving time, Smithfield it's the best brand of pork products, I love it.

The bacon cooks crispy and quickly with little to no mess. The taste is great and is definitely comparable to regular bacon. I actually prefer it!

I finally found some, and my family microwaved it to warm it up and scarfed it down before I could snap a pic! They said it tasted just like freshly cooked bacon, without the mess or trouble!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh, who doesn’t love bacon??? This bacon was so good, the taste is immaculate! The bacon has a smoky flavor, yet a precise, bacon flavor! The saltiness is great. This pairs well with almost any meal, hamburgers, or breakfast, or even bacon wrapped chicken breast! This product is amazing. I would definitely recommend.

The bacon is cut on the thicker side and has moderate shrinkage. It cooks evenly and flavor is fantastic. Great smoked flavor,crisped nicely and great for any recipe you have. Will definitely purchase this product on my own.

I so wanted to love this bacon vs the other precooked that sams sells (hormel black label). I bought this thinking that it had the same amount of slices as the other package for less $. Mistake #1. It tastes pretty good, but ALL the slices are super thin. They break apart in the bag easily, leaving lots of little pieces. You need almost 3x the amount of smithfield, as you do the sams or hormel brand, so we went thru it 3x as fast. Not worth the mess, hassle and $2.50 difference.

Please bring back the Hormel Black Label precooked bacon........Smithfield product is inferior. 1/2 pieces of bacon and so disusting getting it out of the package. This is the worst....not presentable or worthy for guests or anyone. Shame on you Sams, I expect better. I will be returning this, way to expensive not to get what we pay for.
