Worth the wait!

Our old front loader needed to be replaced. Several years ago we had bought an LG washer & dryer as a gift for our grown children. It has been perfect for them. I wanted the front loader that could accommodate the small pedestal washer that LG makes so we bought the WM5500 . The washer is very intuitive in sensing the type of setting needed. I also love the small pedestal washer as you can wash athletic clothes and save water and energy.

LG Sets the Bar with its Washer!

My wife and I were desperate for a new washing machine. While we wanted to do some research, we felt the pinch of time. We instantly loved the design and ascetic of the LG series. Since its delivery, we’ve been incredibly happy. Installation was easy and the LG app is a cool feature. The machine is significantly quieter than our last. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase.

Great features!

My whole family absolutely loves this washer - It can hold a large enough load to cut down on how many loads we need to do each week, and the customization settings for each load offers a lot more options than on our previous washer. It is quiet and easy to use, and I am so thankful that we purchased this model! I do wish the light would stay on longer inside as we are hanging clothes/transferring them to the dryer, but that is a minor thing. I also enjoy receiving notifications on my phone alerting me to the wash cycle being complete so that I don't have to guess as to when it is finished. And if it's sitting a little too long with wet clothes, I can either run a refresh cycle or hightail it downstairs to empty it before it ruins our load.

Incredibly Quiet and Greatl features

I now own this washer for about six weeks and I am extremely pleased my purchase. I love that's so incredibly quiet, and the streamlined look. It compliments the space rather than dominating it, and it does a darn good job of cleaning my clothes. Given that I am not a heavy user except during the Summer months, I've not taken advantage of all the options but find the ease of use and interactive aspect and design great. Given that my previous washing machine which only lasted 5 years, and was the worse customer service and product I have ever purchased, I wanted a reliable and efficient product. I continue to experiment with the options and I am indeed pleased with my purchase. I have to read further on the Turbo Wash, my plumber indicated I should have received a hose? with machine. Not sure. Based on my experience to date, I will give this washer an A+.

Disappointed

This washer may be fine for someone else, but it does not deliver what I wanted. 1.When I choose "hot" water, I want the water supply to come exclusively from the hot water line. Instead, I get a mix of hot and cold water, leaving me with warm water. I need true hot water for some loads, for use with Oxiclean bleach, for instance. 2. The tub is too deep for convenient unloading. I have to stand on tip-toe and stretch hard to reach items at the bottom of the tub. I had a 2.5 front loader before, and was happy with it, but I wanted something a little bigger when it came time for a new washer. I wish I could have found a washer with around 3.5 cu ft capacity. At 4.1 cu ft capacity, this washer is larger than I need. It crowds the available laundry space and requires a strong stretch to unload it. 3. The "extra water" option is not designed to work with the "normal" cycle, which is generally when I would want to use that option.

Clease very good and looks great.

It washes fine and more wash options than I need. I use the AI mode more ofthen than the others and it does a good job. The only issue is the odor. We had a front load before, so just leave the door open when not washing, plus it is more of an odor like a machine rather than mold. Hope it goes away, but already getting use to it. It does a load faster than our old machine and still gets items clean. Overall a good machine so far and has more than enough bells and wistles for us.

Great washer dryer set

I bought the washing machine and dryer as a set. My previous LG front loader was still working perfectly the sensor dry part of dryer not so good. I decided to just replace both and get the stainless steel matching set. I really love the nice clean look of the new pair.

My LG washing machine

I recently purchased the LG washing machine, and I am thrilled with its overall performance. The machine's sleek design complements my laundry room, and its user-friendly interface makes it easy to operate. One of the standout features is its impressive cleaning performance. The machine efficiently tackles tough stains, leaving clothes fresh and spotless. The variety of wash cycles allows for flexibility, catering to different fabric types and soil levels. The LG washer is notably energy-efficient, helping me save on both water and electricity bills. The quiet operation is a bonus, making laundry days much more peaceful compared to my previous machine. The large drum capacity is perfect for handling sizable loads, reducing the number of cycles needed. Additionally, the quick wash option is convenient for those times when I need clean clothes in a hurry. While the price point may be slightly higher than some alternatives, the reliability and performance justify the investment. Overall, the LG washing machine has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a dependable and efficient appliance.

Noise level, cleaning performance and capacity!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer has great cleaning performance. The noise level is fine - especially since my laundry area is open to the kitchen. I mainly hear it when its spinning, but it's not that loud/doesn't bother me (expecting no noise is not realistic). I think my prior Bosch machine was louder. So far, love it!

Takes less time to wash and is very quiet.

I bought this washer based on Consumer Reports reviews, and we're very happy with it so far. It replaced a 16-year-old GE model. The LG is much quieter and seems to use less water. We've been using AI mode for all our washes, and it takes at least 15 mins less time than the old washer. I use the LG app to keep an eye on the wash cycle, mainly because the end-of-cycle notification isn't loud enough to be heard unless you're in the basement.
