There are a wide variety of cycles that are not on a normal machine and I use several of them frequently. The only problem I’ve had is that the detergent drawer is a little tricky to get back in ( I have arthritis in my hands so its not easy) I gave it 5 stars even with that difficulty as the machine is remarkable otherwise.

This was delivered 2 weeks ago. I love the sleek door design. There is more clearance in my small utility room. I love the simplicity of programming. The unit learns my preferences. It was easy to add and delete programs. This is my second LG front loader. It does a fantastic job.

I really like the choices for types of loads and the high spin speed which helps to shorten the dry time. I also purchased the pedestal making it so much easier retrieving items from the drum.

Purchased the LG after a horrible experience with some Sam-named brand: reviews and recommendations seemed good. I’m a male engineer plus when I was young my mom always got my clothes clean as the ideal to live up to, as guiding this review. First, the installation was a joke, mainly of bringing in washer and putting in place. They didn’t install the strain release on the washer electric cable (think ‘sharp edge rubbing 220V cable’) and left a piece of shipping foam under the washer causing an incredible racket for almost a year. Then they ran an empty cycle and left (I’d prefer at least a towel load to justify the water and energy). Just because I can reinstall doesn’t mean I should. But my biggest disappointment is the Smarts. I read manuals and labels, and no where in the manual or settings is there a way to specifically match ‘Machine Wash Cold, Tumble Dry Low’ or the corresponding picture labels. Now if I ruin my wife’s better clothes, LG ain’t taking the heat and replacement $: I am. I’ve written tech manuals for instruments, and this manual from a professional angle is lacking. Then, you can dig in to the presets to modify settings, but some are locked out. And nowhere do they describe how the machine operates differently in the different cycles. You can’t turn the drum light on in use (I like watching the tumble) and it turns off much to quickly when emptying load. It’s nice that I get a ping on my phone when the load is done. But LG app wants all kinds of intrusions and makes a big deal of ‘new feature release’ for a new jingle on completion (big whoop-de-do :-( ). And when you go for warranty support, a true smart app would say the service people would press a button to retrieve the serial digits and usage, but nope: you do that manually. A few times. For maybe an ‘average’ or disinterested user, the washer is fine. For a laundry pro, it’s not up to snuff. My opinion: the programmers were given a set of specs and they performed to those: none of them did laundry themselves or tested it with real people loads. I purchased the Steam option (FOMO) and after 1 year I have yet to use it. Save $ and skip that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great washing machine. It’s perfectly balanced and smart. Quality is evident. And the technology is state of the art. I liked it mine we bought it but I love it. How we used it for a while. It takes a guest work out of laundry. The AI feature was something I didn’t think we would use. But I was wrong. I watched a comforter today and set the AI mode. The washer sensed the contents of the drum and figured it out how to wash it. All I had to do was walk away and wait the only thing I wish it would do is allow me to turn the LED lights on inside While it’s washing so I can watch what’s going on. Maybe they’ll adjust the programming to allow me to turn the lights on throughout the entire wash cycle. I think in some cases is more interesting in watching television.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're totally pleased with our new washer! For starters, it looks AMAZING. The Graphite Steel finish is beautiful. It looks so good in our laundry room. The instructions were easy to understand and so there was no problem getting the washer up and running. Leveling it took a little effort, but there was a helpful tool included that made it easier. The signal you hear at the end of a cycle was originally too loud for our preference, since our toddler takes naps in the room next to the laundry room. But we quickly found out how to lower the volume and now it's perfect. We've found that our clothes are getting cleaner with this washer than with our previous unit. And it seems like there's less wear-and-tear taking place. Those things alone make the WM5500HVA worth the investment, since we're getting better life and performance out of our whole family's clothes. Also, the WM5500HVA is way quieter than our previous washer. It runs smooth and we don't even need to keep the laundry room door closed like we used to, which it nice because it helps keep the space more ventilated. Every so often, there's a spin cycle that louder than normal. But that's probably just a quirk due to what clothing items are in the load, and doesn't seem to be a problem at all. We're really excited about this washer and are so glad we got it!

Love the features & the convenience of getting notifications when the wash is finished. The little music at the end of a cycle (which seems trivial) makes me happy to finish my laundry!

I love washing with this new washing machine. It is quiet with vibration, has lots of washing options and does an amazing job. We were limited to the size because of the doorway and this one fit the bill. I also love the front loader, it is my first and so much better than the top loader.

After 18 years, our old LG Washer needed to be replaced. We chose the WM5500HVA model based on outstanding reviews, technological advances, and sleek, beautiful design. The washer is extremely quiet, energy efficient, has many washing options with a very easy to use menu, and is beautiful and sleek in design. We highly recommend LG if you are needing to replace your washer.
