Loved these hanging strips

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to hang fun and inspirational quotes and pictures in my half bath, but really didn't want to use nails. The Command strips allowed me to place a collection of framed quotes without making a MAJOR commitment to the arrangement. Now more than ever being inspired in so important. Not to mention the fact that my grand children " read' quotes I value.

DOES NOT WORK & WILL BREAK YOUR ITEMS

Just moved into a new apartment and we didn't want to put holes into the walls. So we decided to use the Command Damage Free Hanging product (2 different sizes for multiple items) to help make our place feel like home. Needless to say we will NEVER buy Command products again. We used the correct sizes for our pictures, followed the instructions and what do we have for it? Scratches on the walls and completely busted up picture frames. It's not easy being able to afford certain things when you move to a new state and city, so when something of yours breaks due to a company making such a bad product, you take it a little personal and become upset. So thanks Command for ruining our beautiful frames. Don't waste your time or your money on these things.

A Horrible Disappointment

As a college student if I wish to decorate at all I am forced to use command strips. Considering my present reputation for having the "Martha Stewart" dorm, decorating is a must. I have used a variety of products, and have found them hit or miss at best. Let me elaborate. Last year, I bought strips rated up to 6lb. I hung a banner (about 2lb), a stretched canvas (about 6lb) and a wall mirror ( about 10lb). They were great, for the first two days. By the third day, all of the previously mentioned items fell, and the mirror was shattered across my dorm floor. Thanks for the seven years bad luck to start my college career. But after the incident I bought the 12lb strips, and used excessive amounts to finally rehang everything but the now broken mirror. This year I didn't play around, I bought 12lb strips or better. Today has me fit to be tied. My wall tapestry is hanging perfectly with 8 of the poster strips (yay). My banner, canvas, and picture however (between 2lbs-6lbs) are a far different story. The canvas can still not be hung with four 12lb strips. I've determined that it is a lost cause and I'd spend less putting a nail into my dorm's wall. The banner will not stay up even with four 12lb strips, which is a disappointment as it ties the room together. and The picture, well it hung, but when I decided to move it, the strips ripped the frame apart. So yes, for certain things and when the sun, moon, and all the planets align, command strips are great. However, the rest of the time I have found them a horrible disappointment.

Totally Amazing!!!!!!!

I work at a school, with brick walls, I was tired of using things on the walls that at the end of the year I had to scrape off the walls that left spots, and still didnt really work all that well. I'd seen the command items but never really paid much attention to them, until I was in the need of a cork board. I remembered seeing command products on TV, so I went to check them out. I bought the picture strips, and fell in love with them. Was back at the store the next day to by hooks, for our intruder posters, for our windows, and door. Thank you for some of the best useful products for so many different situations.

Best thing since Command hooks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Command products for years. When the picture hanging strips came out I used them for multiple picture galleries, and many other things. We recently bought a new home and I just hung a clock in every room using these strips, including the bathrooms. New picture galleries are next on my agenda. I look forward to new Command products coming on the market.

Something changed

I have been a lover of Command products since they came onto the market years ago. Recently, I purchased new picture strips after moving into a new house. These newest strips have been nothing but a nightmare resulting in broken wall art and tears of frustration. I prepped the walls, used the strips as recommended, and within hours to a couple of days, all of the wall art I hung began to fall off the walls. The strips failed in various ways - some came entirely off the wall, others pulled apart from itself with each adhesive side of the strip firmly attached to the wall/object, while others had the adhesive pull apart from the plastic strip. I have NEVER had this problem in the past and have always advocated for the use of Command strips. Unfortunately I will have to resume using traditional wall hanging methods. Please go back to whatever 3M used to do because I would LOVE to have my favorite product back!

What did we do before these?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are perfect for hanging gallery wall frames. I remember back in the day trying to maneuver tape measures and hammer and nails only to end up with a diagonal line of frames. The best part is they really do come off clean. Great for renters or dorm rooms

Nails don't fail

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased several command strips for hanging large pictures. I just had my walls painted and I didn't want to use nails. So I tried command strips. Big mistake, big waste of money (they are quite pricey). Anyway long story short. Followed directions, cleaned area, etc...but everything fell off the wall within 20 minutes. Back to nails - they don't fail!

So easy to hang a picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been buying these large picture hangers for a couple years... they make hanging a picture yourself so easy! I live with my kids they normally don’t help me hang picture! No tools required, and no holes in the walls!

Very disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 4 packs of the large picture hangers, and went on to hang some new decor and it looked great to start with and few days later a picture fell off the wall and broke the glass. Then couple more days another one fell off the staircase wall in the middle of the night waking me up and denting my rail. I wanted this to work so bad maybe I got a bad batch but spending 30+ dollars and frames broke not sure about trying again.
