For heavily soiled dishes, we suggest that you let the spray foam suds sit for 3-4 minutes, then wipe & rinse. We are sorry you are having difficulty getting the lid off your Dawn Powerwash refill. Our products go through many quality checks to ensure they get to you with the best results, and we are sorry this wasn't the case with your recent purchase. We suggest removing the sprayer from the empty bottle by turning it counterclockwise to release it. Next, remove and discard the disposable cap from the refill bottle. Finally, place the sprayer on a full refill bottle and give ¼ turn in a clockwise rotation to secure and ensure the dip tube and trigger are in the same direction.
