I am happy to be writing this review because this steam mop has made my life so much easier. In the past, I have used one of those mops that you squirt the cleaner on the floor and it uses disposable pads. It was expensive to use and I did not feel it was that thorough in its cleaning - to say nothing of the chemicals I was using on our floors. With the PowerFresh mop, it is easy to use, economical to use, and does a great job cleaning. I purchased a couple extra mop pads and simply throw them in the washer and they are ready to use the next time I mop the floor. I use this on tile, laminate, and linoleum and floors dry quickly and FEEL clean. Very glad I purchased!!

I mopped floors regularly thought my floors were cleaned Bought Bissell mop for ease to make workload lighter And Bissell steam mop made my life easier plus it really cleaned. Floors much cleaner and much easier & faster Bissell steam mop, where have you been all these years?

I love the steam mop. It does a great job at cleaning without any chemicals. I use it once every two weeks and after a couple of months, it is now leaking water. I wish this could be fixed because I cant use it anymore. Especially since I had already stocked up on extras available on this website. :( Good luck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first bought this steam mop about 3 years ago, it worked for about 1 year and then stopped, but I liked the way it cleaned so well, that I bought another. This model has worked fine for the past 2 years. I like cleaning with steam, not using chemicals and it cleans quickly. But, I struggle to get the container off the mop to fill with the distilled water. I have to pry it off with a butter knife or large spoon and even then it takes quite a while to loosen it. I hope they can improve this going forward.

Many times, I've mopped the floor tiles by my front door, with tiles heading left to the master bedroom and to the right toward the dining room. I came to realize that I was never really cleaning the tiles or grout. I was just making them temporarily shiny on top of a layer of dirt that got down into the tiles' and grout's pores, nooks, and crannies (the tiles are not a flat surface). The PowerFresh Steam Mop lives up to its name. It was steaming as much as I was sweating, but the difference after just one mopping is noticeable (and a bit embarrassing, due to how dirty my floor actually was). Another round with the mop brought up even more dirt and grime, and I need to mop once more to remove the shadows that linger on some tiles. This is not to say the steam mop doesn't do a good job -- it does. But after a decade of never truly cleaning (besides tidying or making shiny) the tiles and grout, I had my work cut out for me. Word to the wise: Don't add any formula or detergent to the mop's fluid holder. Just water, preferably filtered to prevent mineral build-up. I've used both of the scented demineralized waters Bissell sells for the mop. Both smelled good in the bottle. The orange scent didn't linger. The eucalyptus did, but the scent was faint and I don't think anyone visiting would notice. But they are still a good source of water for the mop if you have tap water that's hard.

Loved this product when I first got it. So much so that I let 2 of my family members borrow it and then ended up purchasing one of their own. Unfortunately at almost exactly a year after purchasing it started leaking water and shooting steam out the back. I continued to use it very carefully for a few more months. This morning I attempted to use it and it just poured water out the bottom. My floor was a sopping wet mess, and the steamer is in the garbage. Given the cost of the product, I'm extremely disappointed in the product life. If you decide to buy this product, just know you'll likely be repurchasing in a year.

I have read some reviews that claim this is a loud machine. I thought it was very quiet. I am impressed with the results of how clean my floors not only appear to be clean but they are clean. This steam mop is easy to use and is lightweight. I love that you can get into corners and edges too. I have a huge kitchen, a lot of floor to clean. I only had to refill once to complete the job. I have bought the steam mop scented water and will only use it in place of plain water. I wish I would have bought this product years ago. I highly recommend this steam mop. Have I told you that I love this product? Well, I do!

The idea of the steamer is good, but this product has some design issues: 1. A black cap on the water container made from fragile plastic, cracks after one year of usage. 2. A rubber retainer on the pad quickly destroyed by steam, the pad tends to jump out from the base of the steamer. Has to be replaced after ten-twenty usages. Bissell must to fix these issues and supply replacement parts for it owner's cost.

We received this steam cleaner as a gift about two years ago and my wife has been singing its praises ever since. But now I'm an even bigger fan. A few days ago she brought it to me complaining that steam had started blasting out of the back of it. I thought, "oh no, another piece of junk to toss out." But then I found a YouTube video entitled "Bissell Steam Mop OPERATION/TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR" in which the presenter goes into great detail showing how to dismantle the unit. Due to this video I realized that our boiler had probably amassed calcium deposits in its output tubes, causing its emergency pressure relief valve to activate. Sure enough, that was the problem. After dismantling and soaking our boiler in vinegar overnight, the unit was totally clean by morning. I reassembled it and it works like new. While taking it apart I realized how well it was made. Unlike most of today's junk appliances, which are made only to be assembled and never repaired, this unit really exhibits some internal craftsmanship. I did not expect this in the $90 price range. Thanks to Bissell for building something I can repair! And by the way, if you want to avoid this sort of periodic maintenance, use distilled water (rather than tap water), as the instructions recommend.

After 1 yr, it leaks water from the back whenever I am using it to mop my wood floor. I have tried to tighten the cap of the water bottle. I also check if there is leakage around the bottle. None of those problems happen. It only leaks when I use it to mop.
