We have had this washer/dryer for 3 months and quite like it. It washes and dries very well, while looking sleek and modern. We replaced a gas dryer that stopped working, and a top load washer. Our washing/utility room is small, so we really appreciate having only one unit versus two. It is also great to no longer have worries about lint buildup and possible fires in our dryer vent line, which runs from one side of our home to the other. This unit is ventless. Is this unit like a "normal" washer and dryer? No. So it is important to watch reviews and how-to's and maintenance tips on YouTube. Once you understand how this appliance operates, you will appreciate it greatly. The Energy Label showed an astoundingly low annual energy use for this appliance! My wife and I are retired so she runs the machine during the day, but its best use IMO (the unimportant one) would be to program it to run during the night when energy costs are low, and when the longer than conventional dryer time cycle will not impact you. If you plan your laundry cycles well you can save energy costs while doing lots of laundry for a larger family. Since the time to do a wash then dry cycle, without having to move the clothes between two appliances, is longer than with conventional washers and dryers, this appliance is not the one to do all your laundry on Saturday morning. Rather you should do a load per overnight say Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, or something similar. And since the dryer, being a heat pump unit with high efficiency, will take longer to dry your load, make sure you learn how to minimize the water in your damp clothes by maximizing the spin cycle(s). If you use this appliance to its best abilities, you should be very pleased with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving my LG Washer/Dryer Combo Unit. The ability to wash and dry without having to switch clothes over to the dryer. I work crazy hours at work and this unit allows my clothes to be washed and dried when I get home from work.

LG washer/dryer all in one unit I’ve had the LG all in one washer/dryer unit for approximately 3 weeks.  I absolutely love it!  We are a busy family and this unit has been such a time saver for us.  I love that I can fill the detergent and fabric softener and it will automatically dispense the amounts needing for the size laundry load.  I’ve also found that I can do larger loads of laundry after fully reading the instruction on how to properly place my laundry into the machine.  This also insures that my laundry is fully dry at the end of the cycle; it also helped with our laundry from being as wrinkled.  And my top feature is the keep fresh, it will keep your laundry smelling fresh if you forget your laundry in the unit which happens at my home often!  The LG app has also been very helpful.  Having a QR code on the machine was very helpful in connecting the unit to the LG app.  Once one the app you can change settings,  see how much time is remaining ,  change the detergent and fabric softer amounts if you don’t want the automatic setting.  Overall I am extremely pleased with the unit as well as the LG app.

We’ve had the combo for 3 months and love it. Our condo is small so the laundry is in the second bathroom and this washer/dryer combo save so much space. As an added bonus I don’t lose socks and little items in a transfer from washer to dryer. My clothes are just as clean with the right amount of dryness.

Disappointed. When it works it’s great unfortunately that’s about half of the time. Door leaks with a heavy load dry times are very long with towels and blankets. The lint trap system is terrible and if it isn’t cleaned for 10 minutes every time it’s used it will fault to and run forever until you turn it off. The design of the lint trap system is terrible and to take it apart it feels like it will break on reassembly. My last LG washer we bought in 2008 and is still going.

I love the energy efficiency and the one and done convenience. However, the competition has a feature to automatically pop the door open at the end of the cycle. Is this something that can be added per software update? I figure it would help prevent any mildew from residual moisture if left unattended. Adding this feature would make it a truly five star product.

I am getting used to the sounds, it always sounds like an airplane taking off or landing in our home! I do like the feature of the laudry soap and softener dispensers. The machine tells you when levels are low! We purchased the pedestal with the unit and I am grateful for the additional height of the unit. Putting the laundry in and setting the unit to wash and dry is wonderful! Just set and forget it!
