I bought this cleaner not knowing what I really needed. So once upon a time, we bought like cloth pleated window blinds. Great blinds but after over 20 years of use, they had accumulated alot of dirt on them. It turns the Stain Strike does a fair job of cleaning them up. Its not perfect but good enough will do!

I recently bought this item because I only have rugs upstairs in my house and I needed to find an affordable rug cleaner that I could use on for my stairs also. This cleaner is amazing!! It works so well if cleaned 3 rooms in my house and a jacket and it worked amazing on all of them!!! I’m so happy with this product

Well our old Bissell was on its last legs, so I went looking for something at least as good or even better. I found this Shark Stain Striker Extra and liked it features as described on the box. I got it home and followed the easy-to-use directions and WOW! I can believe how well this machine cleaned the carpet and how easy it was to operate. And what is always a consideration is how easy it is afterwards when you need to clean up the components. The dirty water bucket is super easy to wash out, I mean you can get this completely clean which is always a problem with all the other carpet shampooers I have owned and used. Same goes for the vacuum suction blade on the front that suck up the dirty water. The roller brush area just pulls up and you can completely clean that area and when you are done with that you can remove the brush roll out of the unit for easy and complete cleaning and it just snaps back in the unit. Same for using the handheld sprayer that you would use for small spots and or furniture,The top portion of the head comes right off allowing you to clean any debris out and it just snaps right back on. AMAZING! Thanks to the people at SHARK they simply have thought of everything!, what a great machine!

I used my new Shark portable carpet and upholstery cleaner to shampoo some dirty spots on my carpet. And I was so impressed! I will use it a lot to clean up spots on the carpet. I don't have pets, so the separate tool for cleaning pet messes won't be used. But I can see how it would be useful. Very thoughtful little addition. The machine is designed well and I'm glad I got it.

I purchased this unit 15 months ago. Spend the extra $$ for the full sized carpet cleaner so you can replace the hose when it gets holes in it! While the unit itself is easy to clean after use and the cleaning fluids work GREAT on messes and stains, it has a hose that is easily broken due to being accordion style. The hose is not replaceable (it is part of the unit body) and it is not covered under their warranty. 😲 Therefore, unless you tape up all the holes that happen with normal use, Shark expects you to just buy a brand new one!! 😡

A little bit of history. I have rescue dogs that have some special needs. One has severe tummy issues and is elderly. The other is high anxiety after being abused. So my elderly dogs tends to vomit frequently and can not hold her pee through a whole work day anymore. Now today, I finally caved and decided to try a shark instead of Hoover. I have been a Hoover advocate for years, well not anymore. This little spot cleaner got the red dye out of my carpet that has been there for months!!! My high anxiety girl got out of her crate and got into the dye bag. I have cleaned it with my Hoover 3 times!!! This shark got it out in less than 30 seconds. I’m not freaking kidding. It got the set in blood from my dog who have hemorrhagic gastroenteritis completely out. When I mean that blood was stained in for two years and in less than 60 seconds it was freaking gone. I never write reviews and I’m definitely not paid for them. But for this once I am because I have NEVER been so amazed before. Shark for the win and forever now. Hoover who? Let’s just say once you go shark you never got back. I can’t speak of the longevity of the product as I haven’t made it but one day with it, but that one day took out months/years old stains. Highly highly recommend. I wish I had taken a before and after photo, but I didn’t know it would work this well. So my words are all I’ve got.

Bought this about a year ago and I absolutely love how great it it works. Then the hose started to tear, it would seem the length of it should be longer work a reinforced outer coating to keep the hose from tearing. So sad, I'll just keep tapping it up or what ever I gotta do. But it has kept me from using it as much as I've wanted to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have four kids and one puppy, and between potty training the puppy and my toddler, this has been a lifesaver. I first used it to clean my couch. It cleaned more than just what I could see. The dirty water was shows just how much was cleaned out of it. I love the tool for cleaning up accidents. It has been extra helpful for potty training trying to clean up small and specific spots. And I also love how small the machine is so it can be stored easily in my garage and pulled out easily when I need to use it.
