I love the long lasting smell and feel of my clothing when I use Downy Fabric Softner. It is easy to use and with the cup and no drip push dispenser there is not muss or fuss. I love blanket throws and have them all over my house. Downy leaves them so soft and smelling like they just came out of the dryer. I usually have to fight my cats over newly washed ones as they love the feel of them too.

I was so thrilled to find that my recently laundered sheets were the softest I could have imagined and the smell was heavenly. I've been using Downy for years and years...it's the ONLY fabric softener I have used! UNTIL NOW!! I bought Downy a few days ago...only looked for the April Fresh scent listed on it...washed my clothes, walked into my laundry room and couldn't believe the SMELL ...actually it smelled like old clothes that had been sitting around...or maybe a generic detergent! I examined the clothes...smelled my Cheer bottle...smelled the Downy and then knew what was wrong...looked at the label and saw FABRIC PROTECT! omg...it's HORRIBLE and CERTAINLY NOT APRIL FRESH! YOU GUYS MESSED UP WHEN YOU ADDED "PEARLS" a few years ago...but NOW YOU'VE LOST A CUSTOMER!!! (and by the looks of things, more than `1 ) It wasn't broke...why did you mess it up??? Unless you bring back the original/or even latest Downy, I won't be buying anymore! In fact, I'm hoping I'll be able to get my money back...going back to the store tomorrow!! THE SMELL OF THIS IS HORRIBLE....WHAT WERE YOU PEOPLE THINKING?? AND if you wash clothes properly, that will protect them enough...WE DON'T NEED YOU PROTECTING OUR CLOTHES!!!! Wondering if the dryer sheets are messed up, also??? LOOKING FOR ANOTHER FABRIC SOFTENER PRONTO!!!!

I received a free package of this to try and all opinions are my own. I love Downy fabric softner, my clothes smell wonderful. I have even had people comment on how good I smell even when I'm not wearing any perfume. I just tell them it's the Downy I used in the wash.

I have used Downey for many, many years. I loved it! Made all clothes smell great! The scent has changed. I thought I also got a bad bottle, but no. This change in scent makes my clothes and hence my closet stink. Please change it back. I want the old Downey back

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try Downy ultra. The scent was amazing even before I opened the bottle. It's concentrated so a little will go along way. I tried it in a load and was surprised how soft everything was when I took it out of the dryer. Even some of the towels that are usually scratchy were nice and soft. I plan to use Downy ultra regularly.

April Fresh liquid Downy is the best product without an overwhelming perfume smell. Leaves clothes smelling fresh and feeling soft. Tried another scent but the strong smell was overwhelming and had to re-wash everything to avoid the headache and cough.
