I understand your frustration regarding the residue left in your washing machine dispenser. We appreciate your loyalty to Downy and want to ensure you have the best experience with our products. It's important to note that liquid fabric softeners can sometimes become thick or lumpy when exposed to extreme temperatures, whether hot or cold. This can affect how the product dispenses and may lead up to what you’ve experienced. To ensure optimal performance, we recommend storing the product at room temperature in a cool, dry place and using it within one year. If the product has been frozen, it may appear much thicker and will not return to its normal consistency on its own. If you continue to experience issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at (800) 688-7638. Our service team is here to assist you and ensure you have the best experience with our products. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to resolve this matter for you.
