Our family no longer has Black Walnut trees to harvest so I have been buying Hammons black walnuts from Sam's for many years. They get the blue ribbon from me. Believe me I know the process of harvesting black walnuts. Picking them up off the ground and putting them in a gunny sac (burlap). Standing at the shed using a hand corn sucker to get the coating off the nut. Storing them until Spring (usually May for us). Then cracking them and picking out the actual nut inside the shell. Then storing them. So this is why I buy Hammons and only Hammons. I've tried each brand out there, this is the only brand that taste like what I grew up harvesting with my family. Evey time I open the bag that wonderful black walnut smell takes me back home again. Thanks Hammons and Sam's!

Plastic odor and horrible taste! Pass these by.

Walnuts were cut into very small pieces, looked liked regular walnut and very expensive

I typically buy Members Mark *whole* walnut halves, but the app said "out of stock." I bought these as they stated "Large Fancy" and needed halves for Thanksgiving Dinner recipes. They taste okay, but half of the purpose of needing whole halves is for presentation. The initial description is in dire need of mentioning these are pieces of walnuts.

These are the best black walnuts! They're the only kind I'll buy
