After using outside but under shelter for 2.5 years rust has taken the interior of the gas firebox and the 2 center burners, used most and hottest part of the box have decayed due to rust. The lip that supports the grates has rusted and crumbled. I added angle iron to support grill grate so I am still using charcoal side and using gas side sparingly. I use grill 2-3 times a week so will replace soon with stainless interior firebox type. Poor steel quality is my best guess of problem. If used 2 times a month would probably be ok for another year or so.

Do not buy this grill disassembled and without conducting a through inspection after assembly. I elected to assemble the grill myself which was not very difficult but many components came “pre corroded/rusted” out of the box. Absolutely zero customer support from the manufacturer!

Smoke Hollow grills are junk. I would run from this brand as fast as you can. I purchased the previous model of this same 4 in 1 grill, however I cannot see how this review would not be applicable to this updated model as well. This grill has started on fire a few times now, ruining the grill and also frankly the dinner. After cleaning it I get maybe a few grills in before it catches on fire again engulfing the entire grill chamber with flames including the grease trap below. The grease does not funnel down the center hole into the grease trap as every other grill I've ever owned does, it just sits at the bottom of the grill collecting, making this thing a safety hazzard, considering just below is a propane tank with fire literally inches away from it.

I purchased this grill after waiting for it to become available after being out of stock on line and in club. 12 days later grill arrived-happy family. I spent 20 minutes unpacking the large box and discovered that the inside arm that lowers/raises the charcoal is so bent that it scratched up the inside of the grill and won't budge. Which is surprising because the arm looks pretty thick. the front of the grill was also dinged and scratched. I called into Sams.com and was told that I could return the grill to my local store..which means I have to load up all the sections/pieces or call a shipping company and have them schedule a pick up. The box and all the Styrofoam we had already cut up and thrown in to recycle. :( So, being petite and mid-40's I will now have to make time and energy to solve a problem that I didn't have in the beginning. And I have no grill for Memorial day.

I bought this grill a couple of weeks ago and have used it multiple times since. It is the perfect item for a home cook. I would advise you when assembling the grill to open all boxes and lay all parts in the order of assembly provided with the grill, this will speed up assembly greatly otherwise parts are kind of mixed up and you will be searching for parts holding up your assembly.

Our local Sam's had this grill in the clearance section because of the bottom of the box got wet. All the pieces were there. The directions were pretty straight forward, also complete with pictures. It is definitely a 2 man job. It wasn't had to understand the directions. It took a while to finish building it, but was worth it in the end!

I've had this grill for about 2 months now and everything I've cooked on it so far has turned out great. At purchase, it was heavier than I expected. I had to have someone from the store help me lift the box into the back of my truck. Took me a little over 3 hours to put together. I haven't used the sear grill yet. Temperatures seem easy to regulate using the vents or adjusting the gas. I don't leave my gas tank on all the time, so it's a bit cumbersome to have to reach behind and turn the tank valve off. Be sure to follow the 'seasoning' procedures to help prepare your grill for better cooking and prolong it's life. I bought the cover for it to protect from the elements.

Buy another brand. Similar one at the orange box store. Got this all laid out, spent time reviewing instructions, which are decent and things are labeled. However, part #44 (one of the legs) is manufactured so the holes do not line up. Of course, this is a new model or sam's exclusive so no online support to order. Have to wait till after holiday weekend (when we were going to use) to call customer service. Meanwhile all of the parts have to be moved and stored hoping that none get lost till then. Reading reviews now and see consistency quality issues. Therefore, this purchase of looking like a good deal, was not so much. The grill may work well, but this kind of stuff is not okay when we have options as consumers. Poor quality control that this left the manufacturing site.

I've had this for less than a month, so time will be the true test. So far, this grill exhibits great value for the price. I had a smoker, charcoal grill and gas grill all in the backyard. Now I only need one. I did not like my former gas grill as the burner tubes were shielded and it made it difficult to get good grill marks or sear. The sear burner on this one does a great job searing the outside to keep the juices in, then I transfer the meat to the gas side. So far, awesome. It did take my 12 year old son and I several hours to assemble, and we had to do some steps out of order just to get things to fit just right. Worth the money, for sure. If it lasts for several years, it will be my best grill purchase, ever.

I bought a couple months ago and have used both sides at 3 times and once together so far so good gas grill gets really hot only thing I've found that I dont like is there is a gap between all the lids to let the heat out but I'm in the process of sealing them all up overall very pleased with this grill for the price!!!
