I usually buy Hillshire Farms Polish Sausage, but Sams Club no longer carries it. So, I decided I would try Eckrich Smoked Sausage. I steamed the sausage and it was terrible. Its full of grease, and has the flavor of a cheap hot dog. The casings are too heavy and are difficult to chew. Horrible. Will never buy again. Most of it ended up in the garbage.

It’s a tough case!

I don’t usually feel the need to peel the casing off my smoked sausage, but the casing on this sausage is way too tough to just eat. Since I cook for 25 normally, that’s a lot of sausage to peel! Not a fan. I like the price compared to the other choices at Sam’s Club, and I like the flavor, but will not purchase this sausage again.
