The Midea 8,000 BTU DOE SmartCool Inverter Window Air Conditioner with Remote Control is quiet and works quickly. It was to install and looks pretty neat.

Poor website description, not the model I wanted and still trying to return it more than 2 weeks after purchase, S as Ms Club customer service is the worst!

Cools the whole room. Was worried that it might not be work the way we wanted but it cooled right away and thankfully it's quiet. Was easy to install.

The unit is the quietest A/C I have ever had. There are no spikes in the temperature while unit is running. No temp goes below set point turns off and temp goes above set point I installed and the thermometer sets at 72 and stalls there.

This unit is very quiet even on high, it cools my 24x24 garage easily. Making it easy to work in the garage (78 degrees) in the South Carolina summer heat.

I purchased this air conditioner 3 weeks ago. It has been fantastic. It has been over 100 degrees in southern Virginia for a few days. Today it was 102. The temperature coming out of the vent was 39 degrees. While it was over 100 outside. The bedroom and living room were at a very comfortable 68 degrees and o love the fact I can control it from my iPhone. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for one.

I purchased a Midea 12,000 BTU air conditioner from Sam’s Club in May. Upon opening the box at home, I discovered significant damage to the right corner of the unit. I returned it yesterday. The return experience at the Macon location was extremely frustrating. The customer service representative initially refused to let me exchange the damaged unit for a replacement. I did not want a refund because the item had been purchased during an instant savings promotion. A refund would have been $50 less than my original purchase price, meaning I would have to pay an additional $50 for a replacement. I declined the refund and asked to speak with a manager. Once the manager became involved, I was finally allowed to exchange the unit. However, when processing the new air conditioner, the associate insisted on needing my Sam’s Mastercard to complete the transaction. I no longer had the card because my account had been hacked, and Synchrony Bank had specifically requested that I return the physical card for investigation. I showed her the letters from Synchrony explaining the situation, as well as the account number on my original receipt, but this was not accepted. I ultimately had to log into my online account on my phone to provide proof before the exchange could be completed. Overall, the Customer Service department at the Macon Sam’s Club was unhelpful and unwelcoming. This was a very disappointing experience!

Excellent unit. I already had 2 of the smaller 8000 BTU units and they are very quiet and work well. Then the 12,000 BTU unit went on sale for the same price that I had just paid for an 8,000 BTU unit. So I went ahead and bought the big one. (12,000 BTU = 1 ton capacity). It was a bit heavy for 1 old guy to lift, but I managed to install it. What an amazing upgrade this thing is! Massive cooling! I have a large house. Today the temperature is 97 deg F outside in Houston, and very humid as Tropical storm Arthur just cleared out yesterday. 72 Degrees in the huge room with lots of glass exposure. It is also pretty quiet. Not quite as quiet as the 8,000 BTU units, but it moves a lot more air of course because of the higher cooling capacity. The APP also works well, and I think it is necessary to make some adjustments, like turning the panel lights on and off. Unit runs smooth with no vibration.
