Was Cleaned Regularly but started making a loud noise and does not produce the cool Air as it did the first Week after purchased. Not recommended for use to cool Down a room or Maintain a cool Environment Does not work

This unit Midea 12k BTU with no heat is absolutely amazing in cooling a 1500 open-floor plan floor. The unit is very quite around 35dB measured from about 10ft away. In 110 F outside was able to keep my place very comfortable. Midea Window Inverter MAW12V1YWT-S

We have a 2,100 square foot wide open floor plan home without central air. Every summer we have fans running around the house, one window ac in the master bedroom, and a portable/rolling ac in the living room. We purchased two of these 12,000 btu Midea inverter ac units and put one in my workshop right away. It's a big shop so I didn't expect it to cool all of it but it keeps my main work area comfortable. That was last year (2025). Today we decided we're sick of the loud portable unit so we rolled it out of the living room and set up the second Midea ac which was still in the box. Setup was quick and within seconds after powering it on it was blowing chilled air at us. Our Maine Coons love sitting by fans and the ac and they locked on to this new unit right away! Our open floor plan means that the air doesn't stay contained to one area but I have the ceiling fan going to keep the cool air from disappearing up high and a floor fan on medium blowing across the open end of the living room which helps to keep the cool air from escaping. It works. Most notable is the quiet operation! By the end of an evening with that portable running I felt like screaming because it was so loud. We had to turn up the tv volume extra loud and turn on the closed captions just to watch. Now we have gloriously quiet (very low noise) cooling taking place with the Midea and the tv sound is back to a normal level. Besides the quiet operation, the handy remote, the swinging louvres, etc., this ac actually cools much better than our portable which was 14,000 btus. No going back! Thank you Midea!

does the job, remote has enough distance for our needs and we actually sleep with blankets on hot days.

I am pleasantly surprised at how quiet and efficient this air conditioner is. Definitely worth the money.

Helps me sleep by keeping bedroom cool and saves money by my not having to cool whole house at night.
