I had ordered this a month ago but just had the chance to use it on the Fourth of July. I took it to a BBQ at my son's house. We usually get eaten alive from all of the mosquitos and other biting insects. I had it on the whole day in his backyard and not one of us was bitten. It was amazing.

We put a lot of work in our backyard and enjoy sitting out in the evenings, at least until the mosquitoes run us in. Since we have purchased our Thermacell product, the mosquitoes no longer bother us and we are happy to have our evenings back. The product truly works.

It works OK keeping mosquitos away but at most on an 8 feet circle, not 15 feet as advertised. The fuel cartridges dont last as advertised; they sell 3 pads per cartridge and I use max 2 pads per cartridge; giving about 8 hours of efficiency. Result is I have a bunch of pads left with no fuel... fuel cartridges are way too expensive. I am looking for a cheaper alternative... eorks relatively good but not worth the money...

First knowledge of thermacell was from my nephew who is a hunter. The first product of thermacell I purchased was the lantern. I soon, bought another until I ended up with four. I did not necessarily use the light so when the patio shield was introduced I purchased one. I have just received the radius and am interested to see if it is good as all the others. All of my passed experiences have been positive, I’m sure this one will live up to those.

I sat on the patio tonight in Bristow, Virginia to try my new Thermacell patio lantern. Followed instructions precisely. There was no breeze tonight and I sat about five feet from the lantern eating dinner. I had the lantern on the concrete patio at ankle level. I think it might reduce thee number of mosquitoes,, however I watched two mosquitoes land on my lower legs near the ankle and had to swat and kill them as usual. No real difference. The instructions say that this product work best in an area with minimal air movement. That was the condition tonight, no air movement. Therefore I don't think this works as claimed. I will use it anyway plus all of the refills I bought. The truth is that NOTHING will stop the asian tigers and even regular mosquitoes except lathering on some good repellent like REPEL Lemon Eucalyptus or Off Backwoods. I've tried evrything and I keep my yard and gutters clear with no standing water. Reality stinks because if your neighbors do not maintain their yards you will be eaten. This is a waste of time and money.

Nana is usually the most bitten by all bugs. Invest in this lamp! It really works & Nana can stay out as long as she wants providing she is in the 15' perimeter. A little pricy compared to other Over the counter bug prevention products, BUT living bite FREE is priceless.

For some reason, mosquitos love to hang around our back and side yard. I've made sure there is no standing water, but they seem to find some attraction and they love to snack on us. A good friend suggested I try these products since they work well for him when he goes camping. I bought 2 lanterns and 1 patio shield at the beginning of May. I will admit my son and I were skeptical, but they work great! Mosquitos buzz around but these work so well that we haven't been bit yet!! Even house flies seem to avoid us. My son was so sold that he is buying some for his house!! Totally recommend and would buy again!! Thanks, Thermacell!!!

I have had this lantern for 2 years now. Use it everywhere camping fishing beach BBQs back yard. works so well have told all my friends and family about them. going camping in a few weeks will see if they got them. bugs be gone for a full 12 hours on one cartridge and 4 inserts .. you will love yours too . also have the personal :)

This product has a permanent place in our travel trailer. Took it camping this past weekend...it worked wonders. My partner and the dog usually suffer horribly from the bugs and we were able to sit out all evening enjoying the ambiance and not getting bitten by mosquitoes. Kudos!

Never heard of Thermacell till recommend by a friend who mangrove fishes in the keys. He had an invisible wall around him at night. I've owned units now for at least 5 years. Live in Miami. One lantern undercover outside the patio door, one under canopy in driveway, one for working in yard or bushes and a belt model for the car. I fire up about 10 minutes before I use those areas and it works wonders. If have a slight breeze while working, I put one about 10ft up wind. Maxlife great for extended social occasions, but I use regular 4hr pads (megapacks) mostly. Get to enjoy the outdoors here year round. Definitely not a scam.
