We were looking for a lunch box with cooler pack that had a reliable seal and would fit in our toddler twins’ small backpacks. It was a tall order, but this checked all of the boxes. We haven’t had any issues with it opening by itself and the food stays in its own compartment. We had a latch issue with one box just past the one-year mark, and are currently working with Bentgo on replacement since these also have a two-year warranty. That’s a big plus!

I loved it until I couldn’t use anymore due to the ice pack not fitting. I got maybe four months out of it. One day, I just couldn’t fasten it. The ice pack seemed warped. I expected to get to the end of the school year, not have to purchase a new lunch box.

I bought this Bentgo box a little over a year ago and my little girl loved it. We would use it from Monday to Friday almost every day! After a year the box started getting mold around the robber seal, but other than that this is the best lunch box I’ve ever used for my daughters lunch.

I ordered this Bentgo box for my young daughter. And she loves it so much. She mostly loves that it’s pink haha. But I love how easy it is to clean and store. Also it is so nice that it has a rubber material around the entire box to protect it from drops which young children often do! As a preschooler the size is absolutely perfect for her. She enjoys eating out of it!

I bought the Bentgo Chill box for my preschooler. We used it a few times with the inner ice pack on some outings and picnics, and the food inside did NOT stay chilled. The ice pack is a thin piece of plastic that you freeze, not a true ice pack. I also found that it was impossible for my 3 year old to close with the ice pack inside. So we have been using it without the inner ice pack for school and I put a real ice pack in his lunch box on top of the bentgo box. I must say though, I do like the set up of this bentgo box better than the other (non chill) kids bentgo box. It holds plenty of food for my 3 year old for lunch (although we pack a separate morning snack). For older kids, you might want to find something larger. He has been able to close the box without the icepack on his own after some practice at home. I would recommend putting the bentgo box inside a soft lunch box because there have been a few occasions that he did not snap it close completely, and some food or liquid did spill out. Putting in another soft lunch box protected his backpack and stuff from getting covered in food. I recommend this box if you can find a good deal. But I would not purchase it just for the "chill" aspect, because you will be disappointed.

I bought the chill lunchbox and snack container a few weeks ago and love the product. The rubberized inside helps keep anything sticky or liquid (like the liquid from washed and cut strawberries) from seeping out. Do pay attention to the washing instructions though! The plastic does warp easily. Customer service was very helpful in assisting me with an issue I had.

I bought my daughter a Bentgo Kids Chill back in August based on all the amazing reviews. Let me say, I’m not sure it’s worth all the hype. The food stays room temperature (or cool-ish when you include the freeze pack) and the seals are not that great, compartments leak into one another.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 4 year old who is a super picky eater. We had a hard time getting her to eat her lunch prior to getting a Bentgo box. The Bentgo box allows her have variety and it makes it really easy for me to make her lunch as the compartments serve as a guide. I let her pick what goes in 2 of the compartments and she loves to be a part of it. The fact that this version has a tray you can freeze to keep it cold is a huge bonus. We used to use an ice block prior. The tray also comes out to make it easy to wash. Highly recommend this over the boring one item lunch.

I purchased my first Bentgo Box about a year ago and wanted to try it out for my son. I absolutely fell in love with it and its size. The different compartment sizes makes it so easy to make a snack box lunch which is the way my son likes to eat. We will definitely be on the lookout for newer models of these lunch boxes in the future to fit his growing needs :)
