We just started attending a daycare that requires us to pack a lunch, and they do not have cold storage for the lunches. These have been perfect! We can send it and feel confident that his food will stay at an appropriate temperature until lunch time. The compartments are a great size and keep everything separated. Bonus that he also likes to pretend the outer piece is his laptop when it's not being used for his lunch. I wish they would make it in the snake pattern too! The pic is one my husband packed; he thinks our 4 year old eats as much as a grown man.

We have used this at the pool several times. My 3-yr old grand child loves it! She would take it to the lawn chair, spread out her blanket, open her box, and stretch out eating and watching the people in the pool. Sadly, she looks to grown up doing this (LOL). Freeze tray is great for short, hot outings.

This is the best lunch box ever, previously we used the same but bigger for 2 school years. The quality is top! My son loves it. We live in California and it's too hot sometimes for carrying sandwiches without ice pack. With this box my son has a healthy and fresh lunch every day. I also paid it with the snacks box. They both perfectly fit a bentgo lunch bag!

My kids love the original bentgo chill box but their growing appetites made us really excited to try this larger version. The chill max is as great as the original with a moveable divider bonus. The built in ice pack in the max chill can nest under the ice pack of the chill for efficient freezer space. Hoping you will sell lids and extra trays for the chill max so we can pack our lunch the night before and store in the fridge.

Ordered two of these. They're a great size for big snacks. I bought them for the chill insert. One of the containers keeps catching on the insert and it makes it difficult to open. The other works perfectly.

Love this lunch box for my 14 month old, especially with the ice pack! So smart. The compartments are great. I have just noticed that puffs and freeze dried fruits get stale within a day, so does that mean it’s not airtight?

This is the third one that I but, it is excellent size and beautiful model but one day my daughter left it in her backpack for only 2 days and it was so moldy, I tried to wash it several time and I couldn’t removed it so I ended up getting rid of that. It is kind of expensive so be careful with that

I have many Bentgo Chill products, where I pack lunches the evening before, and pop the ice pack in in the morning. I have found with the mini, without the ice pack underneath to hold the food tray in place, the tray will suction to the lid and the lunchbox cannot be opened. The only solution we have found is to use a spoon to break the suction, which is not the easiest to do. If you pack your lunch in the morning, this shouldn't be an issue for you.

My kid picked this out for his kindergarten year. It took some work to figure out opening and closing it on his own, and at first, he'd sometimes not get it closed back all the way, which created a mess if he had leftovers. More importantly, the ice pack doesn't stay cold nearly long enough to keep everything cool for very long, which could be an issue if you have a later lunch or aren't storing it in a very cool place in the meantime. It would also be nice if there was a carrying bag available for this; it's kind of slippery and difficult for little hands to carry to the lunch room, especially along with a water bottle. We found a small tote bag that worked fine, but having bags made to fit (and maybe to coordinate with the colors or collabs) would be helpful. All that said, the basic usability of being able to separate out his lunch items was great, and being able to toss the insert in the dishwasher was super helpful. We got a 2 pack, but ended up putting the 2nd box away, as we usually run the dishwasher every other day, and the spare ice pack came in handy when we forgot to unpack his lunch box the night before. At the price it was, he'll be using them again this year, but if I had it to do over again, I'd just get the regular bento box and use separate ice packs.

I'm not sure if the issue is with the item I received or if it's just how this product is made, but the inner compartments don't fit properly. The pieces feel loose and keep shifting, which makes the lunchbox a bit inconvenient to use. I expected the compartments to lock in place, but they don't sit securely at all.
