We have used this at the pool several times. My 3-yr old grand child loves it! She would take it to the lawn chair, spread out her blanket, open her box, and stretch out eating and watching the people in the pool. Sadly, she looks to grown up doing this (LOL). Freeze tray is great for short, hot outings.

We just started attending a daycare that requires us to pack a lunch, and they do not have cold storage for the lunches. These have been perfect! We can send it and feel confident that his food will stay at an appropriate temperature until lunch time. The compartments are a great size and keep everything separated. Bonus that he also likes to pretend the outer piece is his laptop when it’s not being used for his lunch. I wish they would make it in the snake pattern too! The pic is one my husband packed; he thinks our 4 year old eats as much as a grown man.

Product is exactly what I thought it would be. I like the size and think it will work nicely!! I did do a test run and I was a little disappointed that the food wasn’t super cool after 2.5 hours. It was just faintly cool. But keeping my fingers crossed that it will keep her fruits and vegetables cool enough, as she is only a half-day student right now!!

Ordered two of these. They’re a great size for big snacks. I bought them for the chill insert. One of the containers keeps catching on the insert and it makes it difficult to open. The other works perfectly.

Love this lunch box for my 14 month old, especially with the ice pack! So smart. The compartments are great. I have just noticed that puffs and freeze dried fruits get stale within a day, so does that mean it’s not airtight?

I got 2 of these last year for my girls for school, and we absolutely loved them. Only issue was about halfway through the school year they stopped sealing correctly and the fruit juice from one compartment started to make their sandwiches/chips soggy. We love the freezable trays though!

These lunchboxes work great. I do use them with other ice packs to ensure my children’s lunch stay really cold. My daughter really likes them. I rated the kids one a 3 out of 5 because it’s honestly really tiny. I can’t even fit a peanut butter and jelly with normal sandwich bread in there. I wish I would have gotten two of the adult ones instead of one adult and one kid.

First off Sam’s shipping is always the worst. It always takes forever to get here and when I get it it looks like it was completely demolished, no matter if the product is edible. It sometimes feels unsafe to eat. However this is not food so it’s fine, but if I were wanting to gift this, I couldn’t because the box arrived so beat up. I will be comparing this to the older version. As it stands alone it is a good bento box. I like the new design, very cool, and I love that the ice pack is built in. However I don’t love the new design which doesn’t allow the outer casing to lie flat for the dish washer. It makes it really hard to through into the dishwasher. You also no longer have the option to have a full sandwich, it will always have to be cut in half. It does seem quite a bit smaller as well. BUT all in all I think it will be a nice improvement not having to carry the bento in a lunch box with an ice pack to keep it cool.

My kid picked this out for his kindergarten year. It took some work to figure out opening and closing it on his own, and at first, he'd sometimes not get it closed back all the way, which created a mess if he had leftovers. More importantly, the ice pack doesn't stay cold nearly long enough to keep everything cool for very long, which could be an issue if you have a later lunch or aren't storing it in a very cool place in the meantime. It would also be nice if there was a carrying bag available for this; it's kind of slippery and difficult for little hands to carry to the lunch room, especially along with a water bottle. We found a small tote bag that worked fine, but having bags made to fit (and maybe to coordinate with the colors or collabs) would be helpful. All that said, the basic usability of being able to separate out his lunch items was great, and being able to toss the insert in the dishwasher was super helpful. We got a 2 pack, but ended up putting the 2nd box away, as we usually run the dishwasher every other day, and the spare ice pack came in handy when we forgot to unpack his lunch box the night before. At the price it was, he'll be using them again this year, but if I had it to do over again, I'd just get the regular bento box and use separate ice packs.

In order to open it there’s potential to dump the entire contents on the floor. Not what I want for my new kindergartner. Also main compartment is too small to hold a sandwich.
