Nice chair...room for improvement.

It was a tough call for me...which chair to purchase, sight unseen. I decided to go with this chair because of the fold-up arms. Here's what I like. - Assembly was easy. You get a decent tool. 12 bolts total. No weird angles. You almost don't need the instructions...it's that simple and clear. - Very padded and comfortable. - Beautiful design and color. - Controls are cable-type--no long paddles to deal with. - Excellent casters. Here's what could use improvement. - The base and arms are all plastic. They look like metal, but they aren't. - The lumbar support is a bit much. - The headrest doesn't adjust at all...it's completely stationary. - At 5' 10", the lowest height is almost too tall. If you are shorter than 5' 10", this chair will be too tall for you. This is a huge upgrade to my old chair. It definitely helps with my posture. I wish I could give it five stars, but I just feel like at this price point, it should be better. Recommended, with a few reservations.

Nice chair, doesn't last.

I have had this chair for about 1.5 years. I have already replaced the arm rests as they went bad. The design that makes them adjustable makes them flimsy over time. It appears to be all metal but once you get inside its plastic. The customer service was great and sent me a new arm rest. It took 2 weeks of the chair being useless. Also the "leather" is cracked and peeling all over. Its not wearing very well for an expensive chair made of leather.

squeaky and seat

Love the quality overall however be aware, the back cushion is VERY squeaky when you move. In a meeting you will want to sit still. Lol. Also after 2 weeks the seat cushion you can feel a bump where the pole connects to the bottom. I'll have to put something like a cushion over the seat.

Great Value, Made Well.

I'm a big guy, 250 lbs 5'11" and most of my chairs last around 3-5 years like this even chairs I've spent over a thousand dollars on. I just received the chair this afternoon, had to put ALL of it together but it wasn't that bad only 30 minutes. Seems strong and sturdy , really like the back support and can feel the difference compared to other chairs in the seat, you really can feel the support. You'll be happy with your purchase.

Back & arms do not recline independent from base

It was not clear until assembly that the upright/back and arms do not tilt independent from the seat base. If you want to recline, your feet have to get and remain higher than the floor and your armrests are then out of position with your desk. Not to mention that your knees are pushed up into the desk. You cannot lock the chair into a reclined position either.

Hate it!

Because it tilts downwards when I sit in it it keep sliding out of it, not a big person, weigh less then 140 lbs. Tried different things, could not find a solution. Saw other reviews that mentioned the same problem, someone said something about the plate under may have been installed backwards, checked, that is not the case! Has caused major back problems which defeated the purpose of buying it in the first place!

Very cheaply made

The chair was great for about a week. The "3D" back support then broke on one side. The chair then was useable, but provided poor support. Within a few weeks the remaining connection broke and the chair is now worthless. I wouldn't expect such a cheap design for a chair of this price. I tried to upload photos but was unable.

Mixed reviews

My husband is 6'3" 260 lbs. and he thinks this chair is great. He says it supports his back and leans back easily. I'm 5'6" 190 lbs. and the armrests are too wide, it makes me sit straight up with no support, and even on the loosest setting, I have to force it to lean back, only for it to flop right back up to the upright position. My back is killing me after sitting in it for a couple of hours. The left armrests on both our chairs were wobbly, but my husband is handy and was able to fix them so we didn't have to go through the hassle of a return. But I'm thinking I want a different chair!

Best chair I've had

I bought this chair over a year ago, after having yet another cheap one break on me. I have ankylosing spondylitis and spend hours at a time working in my chair, so something with good lumbar support and good shock support are imperative. This chair has survived daily abuse and a move and is still as strong and supportive as ever. I can't say enough good things about it. My husband wants one of his own now!
