Lighter and easier to fill, use, and clean than my decades old Hoover Steam Vac. Misses one feature of the old machine, the ability to shut off the brush roller while using the hand brush. 5 stars as a carpet cleaner, 3 stars for the handheld. Overall this is the sweet spot for new home-use carpet cleaners.

I am very happy with this carpet cleaner because it does amazingly remove all the stains, sand and dog hairs especially at the heavy traffic areas. So far, I have been using express cleaning mode. It worked very well. The drying time is pretty fast which is around an hour. This machine is easy to put together because it comes with simple and easy instructions. The only thing I hope for this unit is to have retractable compartment for wires storage. Otherwise, I am satisfied with this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I have lived in our apartment for just over a year. A carpet cleaning was long overdue. Before using the carpet cleaner, I vacuumed the area first (with my Bissell vacuum). Then, with the carpet cleaner, I went slowly over the carpet in back and forth strokes like the instructions stated. I had to empty the dirty water tank and refill the clean water tank frequently for each room I cleaned but this product definitely removed a LOT of dirt from my carpet. After going over the carpet once, I used the carpet cleaner perpendicularly (there was still a good amount of dirt that was removed the second time around). I'm happy overall with how well it cleaned. I just wish it wasn't so loud. Understandably it's loud from the suction but there was a slight high pitch sound that I would hear the entire time it was turned on. Regardless, I'd still recommend the Bissell to get the job done. I used to own a Hoover brand carpet cleaner that did a decent job but I had to get it replaced twice within a year because the motor went out both times. This is my first Bissell Carpet Cleaner but, as I mentioned, I own a Bissell vacuum which I've had for at least 3 yrs now with no issues. The Bissell vacuum that I had before that (which I gave away) also worked well for a few years. I'm pretty confident in the Bissell brand.

Called customer service and all I got was a line of BS. Now I am here to say I love this rug shampooer. Has great suction and cleans very nicely and did not at all break the bank!

Assembly of the cleaner could not be easier, it took no time at all and was problem free. Using the cleaner for the first time, the carpets came up very well, bright, substantially cleaner, and the carpets were dry in under and hour. I can honestly say that this cleaner exceeded my expectations in every way, I am delighted with my purchase and I am happy to recommend it.

I've used the upholstery attachment to clean my sofas and stairs and they look amazing. This design is a significant improvement over previous years designs with the water/formula container being on top of the dirty water bin. The upholstery attachment does a phenomenal job on both big jobs and little.

I saw some reviews for this Bissell, and thought to give it a shot. The performance - Powerful suction, Easy to cleans well. However, it is alittle Bulky (heavy) and Shorter Cord from a regular vaccume.

A lil heavier than my old one, but sure gets a larger area cleaned. Great job on rugs n no pet smells! Very easy to clean afterwards which is a plus as well. Easy to push.
