Juicy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These chicken thighs were delicious and tasted really fresh. I used them to make a one-pot cilantro lime chicken with beans, and it came out amazing — juicy, flavorful, and tender. My family loved it, and I was really impressed with how well the chicken cooked up. Definitely a great buy for easy, tasty meals!

Quality Chicken

I purchased a pack of chicken thighs and was happy with the packaging as others have mentioned. I ended up grilling the full pack for my family, and found the chicken was extremely flavorful and juicy. All I did was add some of my favorite grill seasonings and cook to 175. I normally buy boneless at the grocery store, but found these were fairly easy to eat and will keep this on my list of favorites.

Verified Purchase

Good packaging and qty.

I like the packaging and the quantity per pack. This futs my jeeds very well. I like to cook my chicken in my instant pot on the sous vide setting. If the absorbant materual wasnt in the package it would be better. I could just pop it in and walk away.

Good thighs

I bought this product and can understand some of the complaints. However, I didn't exprience any pin feathers and I don't mind that the sizes were all different. I like that they come in pouches of 3 thighs so I can make separating for cooking and freezing easier. The price is good especially when you have to constantly feed a houseful of teenagers!

Great Chicken Thighs

Good quality of these bone-in chicken thighs. The chicken had good flavor with minimal fat. The packaging into quarters makes it convenient for freezing and to individualize for 2 people but know not all quarters are equal in weight/number of thighs.

Great buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually buy chicken breasts but I’m so happy I got these thighs. I used half the package to make dinner for my family of 4 and had leftovers. I made a honey garlic sauce and everyone loved it. They were fresh and well sealed.

Avoid them - VERY small and not very fresh

I would not buy these again. Not only are the thighs SUPER small (my wife and I nicknamed them 'chick' thighs because they were so small!), they were also not very fresh. The package we had started to go bad within a couple of days of being in our refrigerator. The thighs we pick up at Walmart are much bigger and more fresh. I would avoid these. Just my $.02 worth

Lack of quality control, not worth buying

I bought these a couple of times and like other reviews I am dismayed at the random cuts of the thighs. Some are very small and other pieces are mostly skin. Because I'm used to buying quality food at Sam's and there is no uniformity in size and weight of these chicken thighs, I won't be purchasing these again.

Thighs poorly handled, packaging nice

New packaging is clean and easy to store. Condition of chicken thighs in package, unfortunately, needs improvement. Worst thing is that small pieces of bone with flesh attached are included in about 1/3 of packages. What am I supposed to do with this? Throwing bits of waste chicken in the package to fill it is unacceptable. Maybe sell the mistakes in different packaging at a lower price for use in maybe soup or something. I buy chicken thighs with skin on because I am planning to make them WITH skin attached. Broil, them perhaps. Brown the skin for using thighs in a recipe. What is mostly in the packages is chicken thighs with skin included. Somewhere. Not useful. I don't know if humans package these or totally done by machine. This packaging technique is new. The butchers are probably still working out the kinks in the system. Overall, I like this packaging. It's neat, clean, easy to store in my freezer. Oh, and the glue! The glue holding the packages together is horrible but I've found a way around the problem - I cut the packages apart with kitchen shears. When I want to use the chicken, I cut the individual package open with the shears. Very easy. The quality and price of the chicken is good, otherwise.

New packaging is just terrible

I had purchased the Sam's Club branded chicken thighs for years. They've always been nicely packed, mostly large meaty thighs. Easy to repackage for the freezer by matching like-sized pieces. Now, these individual little packages are frankly, terrible. Each section contains 3 or 4 thighs, which isn't always the amount I want. And the sizes within each section are terrible - one medium sized thigh with 2 or 3 tiny ones. None of them are as large or nice as they used to be. How are you supposed to figure out portions to serve, or how many packages to thaw out for a meal? I guess I'll get my chicken thighs at Walmart or Wegman's from now on. They might cost more, but at least they'll be something I can use. I will never buy these again.
