Freezer seems to working well… ordered 3 and all arrived with some type of damage. One of them we returned (replacement had damage on lid) but decided to keep it .. the other one we kept had a major dent on side but wasn’t near motor. Seems to ship from California…longer transit — better chance if arriving damaged

Purchased on 9/5. Then allowed the freezer it to sit 8 hours before plugging it in . Plugged it in and turned it on to #7, then allowed it to run 4 hours before transferring my food to the new freezer. 9/7 I went out of state only to return home to a house that smelled like a cemetery 2 weeks later. I'm enraged on top of the smell, I had over $300 worth of food inside of the new freezer.

This is a better than advertised item. I bought it six or eight months ago and it works great. I almost never hear it running and it stays frozen solid. Every chest freezer does that right? Two nights ago, my wife went after a Klondike Bar at about 10 pm and left the door to it wide open. No one noticed until about 14 hours later. She called me crying saying all the food was ruined. While we were talking she started poking around in it and nothing had defrosted. Not a single item. I keep pint glasses for my beer in the top and they were still frosted. Even her Klondike bars, right at the top were still frozen solid. All this says to me is that the insulation is top quality and the freezer is strong enough to keep things frozen even without the lid shut. 10 out of 10, I definitly recommend this freezer.

Couldn't really decide what to put the overall rate as. When my order was delivered it had two dents when I had taken it out of the box. I was going to send it back because it shouldn't have had any in it to begin with. However, the deep freezer is a good size that can fit a lot inside of it. I had a smaller one, and after moving items from the small to this one, there were plenty of room for more.

One star isn't for the product technically. The product arrived damaged. Just unpacked it today and plugged it up. The issue as of today is it has shipment damage and I waiting to see if the puncture on the front of freezer will have any effect on its operation. Wish FedEx, UPS, & USPS would take better care of products customers buy and have shipped.

I bought this chest freezer recently and it looks like there has been a significant change to the unit. The freezer control dial, power and compressor on indicator lights, have been changed. The freezer controls that are pictured on the website are much more convenient than what is on the unit that I purchased. (the display unit at Sam's still has the controls shown in this add) These new lights are barely visible unless the lights are off in the basement. Let's hope they didn't make any changes to the mechanical components. I only bought this freezer because of the good reviews. Would be nice to hear from the manufacturer and have them list what changes they made to the unit. I will give this a 4 star rating for now and will update my review after a few months. This isn't a manufacturer issue, but directed towards Sam's. I bought the 3 year extended warranty and come to find out, it's actually only for 2 years and kicks in after the initial 1 year factory warranty expires. I feel Sam's should be more clear in it's presentation of the extended warranty. I thought I was buyin an additional 3 years of coverage after the manufacturers warranty expired.
