My wife and I often buy eggs at Sam's Club. I've notice in recent months that these eggs do not appear to be graded properly. The carton says they are USDA Grade A Large. The weight range for Large eggs is between 54.34 and 61.41 grams. As a professional baker, I know that properly graded Large eggs are consistently between about 55 and 60 grams. Many of the eggs in these cartons appear about the size of Medium eggs with some weighing less than 40 grams. I think this is a case of misbranding.

With the recent spike in egg prices, these were a steal. Only complaint is the packaging doesn't match the size of some of the eggs. Oddly, a few eggs were much larger than the space provided in the container sections, leading to some damage. The egg crate material is in my opinion less forgiving than the foam or paper ones.

Good price/value. A regular buy. But, I down graded from five to four stars, owing to the packaging. I do not care for this plastic package. It is hard to open. It takes up a good deal of room on a refrigerator shelf. It is very difficult to reach into the package in the refrigerator and just remove a couple of eggs. That is one strike. The second peeve is that this packaging does not contain any recycle designation code. I suspect it is polystyrene owing to its physical properties and appearance, but cannot be sure. We recycle regularly, but in our area, one has to presort the plastics according to category.

Excellent quality eggs. If in doubt, please read up on eggs produced by "battery cages." With battery cages, hens are crammed in cages so tiny, they can barely move. It's truly cruel. These eggs I'm rating are "cage free." That means the hens have a little room to move, flap their wings, socialize, and scratch around at least... probably inside a chicken house. It's not much but at least they're not confined in battery cages.

These cage-free large white eggs are consistently fresh with bright yolks and good flavor—perfect for breakfast, baking, or hard-boiling. The Grade A quality shines through, and the 2-dozen pack is a smart buy at this price. No complaints about breakage if handled carefully, and they're a staple in our fridge. We always grab these on Sam's trips. Highly recommend!

Best tasting eggs. We go through about 4 dozen eggs in a month. Our youngest son eats a lot of protein. These are the best tasting eggs I've ever had. Yes eggs are different. Some taste like they have been layed a long time ago. These taste like you went and got them from the chicken in the morning. Perfect size. I like the fact you don't have to open them up to make sure nothing is broke.

These eggs are good. I miss the 3 doz. pack that Sam's used to carry. They are a good size and taste good. Even with the bird flu scare, the price was reasonable and to my surprise, they did go back down when eggs were more plentiful however...back up with bird flu but still a great value.

A poor substitute for the eggs I've bought for years at Sam's; in the yellow carton. More expensive and the yolks are a pale yellow that don't look as healthy and they weak on flavor. More expensive and a poor replacement. Plus this carton is hard to get into, the yellow Styrofoam cartons were much easier to get into and fit in my refrigerator much better. I never did like the milk containers after you changed them either, but then you don't pay any attention to negative comments, anyway.

I tried eggs from Sam's before. They didn't cook will. I have an event that requires alot of eggs. I decided to get the eggs just to save me time. I cooked the eggs for 45 minutes and the eggs didn't cook all the way through. It was hard to peel the shell away from the egg. I have to go the local store to purchase more eggs.
