Perfect Hurricane Generator!

I thoroughly researched inverter generators for not only as an alternate power source for my recreational vehicle but also for an emergency power source for my home in case of an extended power outage. I live on the Gulf of Mexico and witnessed what Hurricanes Michael and Ian did. It was bad enough to lose home air conditioning, but to lose all the food in my home fridge was costly. So, next time, my Westinghouse iGen2550DFc will power not only the home fridge but will simultaneously power my rv's ac in the driveway. Already ops checked and this inverter generator powers them BOTH easily! Starts first pull, great features, easy to carry, love the dual fuel capability, overall best product at fantastic price for my needs! Thanks Westinghouse!

Basic survival generator

Good first generator to help get you some power for refrigerator and small appliances. Used one of these after Hurricane Ian with 10 days of no electric to house. Kept the fridge cold and allowed us to use other small appliances for cooking. Quiet and easy to start/use

First inverter/generator

I bought this generator primarily to recharge my electric battery generators. It is more than adequate to recharge both of them with additional power to spare. The instructions provided were clear to understand. It is easy to fill and check the oil level. Changing the oil in the future should easy and clean. I connected my unit to Propane, and it started up on the first pull, which surprised me! Subsequent startups were just as easy. I plan to use only Propane so I don't have to drain the carburetor bowl for storage. It's nice to have the option to use gas though. On start up, I checked out the Eco feature and it idled at a lower speed as it should. The first load I put on it was an electric heater and it handled that well. It drew about 1500 W. The noise level seems moderate. It actually sounds quieter than the video provided. Well, I'm very happy with this inverter generator and will possibly buy another.

Incredible and just the right size and Price

Needed a Generator on the quick and hit Menards during a bad power outage and found this affordable gem. This little darling was able to power the refrigerator, 2 fans, 2 TV's and Firesticks with ease. I'm sure I could throw a bunch more at it. Quiet as well!

Versitility

A really good backup power source with the option of using either gasoline or propane. It's not as lightweight as one would think, especially after filling the tank with gas. Have not had a chance to check out all of the features yet, but soon will. It's an ideal time to purchase prior to Spring and stormy weather.

IGEN2550

Purchased to use with our travel trailer when camping off the grid. We have solar but wanted auxiliary power just in case. Coming from a traditional open frame generator for all the obvious reasons. Size and price were factors taken into account. Plenty of power for our needs, fuel efficient, ease of handling, and quiet!

In Time of Desperate Need, Generator Came Through

Midwest spring snowstorm power outage caused sump pump failure - flooded basement. Frantically driving from store to store before all were closed for the night, found this Westinghouse available 45 minutes away. Bought online one of the two available and hustled down the highway. Have never used a generator, but instructions were easy to understand and machine is easy to operate. Feared overfilling the oil, knowing how that can damage engines, so filled very slowly. The bottle of oil included must be the correct amount for initial filling - if this is correct, I would recommend stating that in the written instructions. This generator got us back on track by getting the sump pump going - we only had that one load of the sump pump, but this unit has 2 USB ports (along with the 2 20A receptacles and one 30A receptacle) if we had needed to charge phones. Glad we have this in our home, wish we had it earlier and definitely recommend this as a wedding gift. Every home should have one!

Big Power w/ a small (and quiet) footprint

Purchased this generator to power percolators and lights for a weekly homeless feed. While performing the break in (5 hrs @ 50% load) I couldn't help but notice how quiet it was. I have since used it on a weekly basis for no less than three hours at a time and have had zero problems powering a four gallon percolator and a set of outdoor flood lights (100% load during 1hr percolation cycle). It's quiet, compact, and easy to transport.

2550 DFc Duel Fuel runs RV on propane

I have 2 iGen2550DFc with 50 amp parallel cable and it runs my camper like 30 amp shore power. I can run my 15,000 btu AC with the generators on propane. Westinghouse seems well built. I recommend them. You wouldn't really have to buy the 50 amp parallel cable for 50 amp camper because the combined generators only make 3800 watts (31.7 amps). You probably already have a 30 amp adapter and you can plug it straight into either of the generators. You then connect the included small parallel cables between the generators.
