We live on acreage , obviously in a rural area , with a deep water well . The main reason for putting in a generator was to assure water to the house . Question : In the case of a serious earth quake which could knock out our gas line that feeds fuel to the generator , what back up system would you suggest ? Thanks , Ron Gill

We live in a wooded area and power goes out frequently. I love the peace of mind that our Generac generator provides. If it goes off at 4:30 in the morning, it activates quickly enough that our alarm clocks don't even need to be reset. Very reliable.

As a small custom home builder, I build a lot of homes that are on large acreage. Thus these sights are prone to power outages due to their geographical locations. The Generac 22KW with the auto xfer and gas back up is a MUST. Just the peace of mind in knowing that you do not need to break out all the candles, flash lights and blankets when they are calling for bad weather in a life saver. My Generac has only been install for 2 weeks, and except for the test run in the beginning and the once a week test runs I can't evaluate it till we have some kind of an electrical problem which is quite often were I live. Hence, wait and see. Bill Sherwood

The dealer / installer, Fernando from Poteet, TX. did a Great job! He knows his stuff. We had the Generac whole house generator installed on 12-01-2016. We live in an area that has many power outages. Last Sunday, 01-22-2017, we had extremely heavy winds in our area causing a power outage for approx 2 hours. Of course, because of Generac, we had uninterrupted whole house power during the outage. Now our neighbor wants a Generac . We are happy with our Generac investment.

This is the third Generac I have owned and have been satisfied with all three. The area of Hawaii I live in is plagued with power outages from a few minutes to multiple hours. The generator starts automatically and is relatively quiet. I like the self maintenance/startup feature that I have set for once a month (default is once a week). Seems to provide economical use of propane.

I had a Generac portable generator and when I first needed it, I could not get near it due to my pacemaker. With the standby generator, I only have to listen for it to start, which it does once a week, even below zero temperatures. I am on oxygen 24/7 and it is reassuring to know, I will not be without electrical power.

Less than two weeks after having our whole house generator installed, a wind storm passed through our state and knocked out our power for three days. Having two 80+ year old in-laws with medical conditions living with us made the power provided by the generator a literal life saver. I would highly recommend the Generac generator. My wife says it is the best investment that we have made in the last 25 years.

We purchased the Generac 22 kw Guardian system in October of 2015. I installed it over the next several months as I had the time. A few months later we had a power outage for about 5 hours. When the power went off the Generac powered up in about 15 seconds. Wonderful! I am writing this review 2 hours after our power has been restored this morning January 25, 2017 at 8:45 am. We had a very bad ice storm on January 14, 2017 and thousands of people have been without power. Many still have no electricity as I write this. We gave this generator a very good 10 days and 9 hour workout. My wife and I highly recommend this generator.

On returning home one day last summer we discovered the electrical power was out due to a storm. It was a really hot day. We had guest coming that evening. Thank goodness for the Generac generator. The generator worked as advertised. The house was cool. The sound of the Generac running was barely evident. THANK YOU GENERAC!
