I bought this a couple months ago and the installation was finalized this past week. It has not been in service yet but I know it will be there next time we have a large storm and loose electricity. The generator is very well built and the installation was top notch.

After SoCal Edison left us without power for 19 days in 2024 and had surges that destroyed our switch panel and side-by-side refrigerator / freezer we updated to the new 10 KW unit with all electronic panel and surge system and new UPS for our computer system. We also added a whole house insurance program and a service / monitoring system / account for our generator. So far we are very happy with our choice to upgrade our system.

Happy with everything, the Dealer, the product and the installation. However I feel like there could have been a better job restoring the landscape after digging a trench for the installation. They left it a muddy mess. Should have been packed down, raked, seeded with hay.

My power was going out on a monthly then turned into a weekly basis. I spent so much time on the phone with DTE to get daily or hourly credits for my service being down. This made life difficult with an infant and a sump pump. I invested in an 18KW whole home generator, this was the best home decision I have made. No more am I using the stove to heat in winter and window units plugged into a portable generator in the summer. With a sump pump you only have so much time to get the power to it before it fills and spills over into the basement. Oh and let me tell you, how difficult it is to set up a portable one when you have an infant that doesn't sit still. Generac, You are a life saver and I tell everyone!

We have only had it for a little over a month and so far, so good. We did have 2 "overcrank" reports that required resetting, but after installing the firmware, we no longer have that issue.

I had this unit installed one year ago. The unit switched on twice for 2 minutes each time. I am very satisfied to have the unit available, especially during hurricane season.

I purchased my generator a year ago before the peak of Hurricane season in my area. Excellent peace-of-mind knowing that I no longer need to fill gas cans and set-up a portable generator.

Unit was purchased and installed approximately one year ago and has been operating as advertised through several utility power outages and weekly exercises.

When the power flickered the generator turned on and would not shut off because the circuit board blew out had to shut off manually it did get repaired and has been working
