This is the first review I have ever written in my life. The day after Thanksgiving 2016 we had an ice storm, power was off for 6 days! the day after Christmas 2016 we had another ice storm, this time power off for 7 days! both times we stayed at my parents house (they have a Generac 20K) it ran non-stop every day, both times. We have since purchased a Generac 22K for our home, and it has worked great.

I had no idea that a good quality standby generator that can automatically and easily power up a whole house could be installed for well under $10k. We are impressed with both the service and product and sure enough, shortly after installation we had a power outage. This occurred during really nasty weather and from the comfort of our house it picked up the load very quickly and shut itself down when the power was restored. My wife couldn't be happier as we used to do this manually, having to brave the weather in order to get standby power.

I just purchased a 22kw generator by generac happy with it so far haven't had a chance for for it to kick on but at installation time it ran very well looks good I like the price very happy with it I would recommend it to any one wanting a home standby generator

The first Ice Storm brought chaos to our home. it would last for two weeks. The second was unbearable. When we installed the Generac 22kw, it happened again. This time it was barely noticeable. The power clicked off the generator clicked on. What an amazing piece of hardware. This is 100% security for my Family in theses disastrous times. Thank You Generac.

This is the third Generac I have owned and have been satisfied with all three. The area of Hawaii I live in is plagued with power outages from a few minutes to multiple hours. The generator starts automatically and is relatively quiet. I like the self maintenance/startup feature that I have set for once a month (default is once a week). Seems to provide economical use of propane.

This 22 KW unit is by far the BEST generator out there period ! It is a user friendly easy to operate Unit, an absolute Work Horse that effortlessly powers your WHOLE HOME with EVERYTHING turned on even my 4 Ton dual compressor Trane AC Unit wide open calling for 50 degrees. We ran all appliances, Washer,Dryer,Well,Stove with all Burners ON ! The most we could make my home draw was 84 AMPS ! This Unit can take 100 AMPS ! BUY IT !! I sleep great knowing no Storm will bother me.! Thanks GUYS ! LOVE IT !

My unit has kicked in multiple times since our purchase, be it minutes are hours. There is a minimum loss of power from outage to generator transfer. When power restored, there is no "blink" to indicate house power back on. Once a week , as scheduled, it starts up to run a five minute test.

This generator is the best investment we have ever made. It is quiet, it is cute, it gives you a peace of mind. It runs like a champ, does not even falter when A/C kicks on. You would think you still have power from the power company when it is on, only way you know it is on, if you go outside and hear it running. We have a portable XP8000 that we absolutely love, and big supporters of Generac products. Would highly recommend the 22K. You will not regret purchasing a Generac Stand by Home Generator.

Adding this back up generator system to our retirement home gives of great piece of mind whether we are home or out of town. We know that it will keep our home powered up due to storm, outage or whatever the cause and our food, heat, cooling, and essential devices will have power. We are now older and this investment means we will have everything we need power wise no matter the situation. All automated and worry free.

I had a Generac portable generator and when I first needed it, I could not get near it due to my pacemaker. With the standby generator, I only have to listen for it to start, which it does once a week, even below zero temperatures. I am on oxygen 24/7 and it is reassuring to know, I will not be without electrical power.
