If the exercise time could be changed from 5 minutes to 12 minutes and the exercise speed be changed from the slow "Quiet Test" to full RPM I would give a rating to 5-stars. Other than these two significant issues, I find Generac to be a quality and reliable, made in the USA, product. It has NEVER failed me. However, because of the inadequate exercise time I feel I must manually run the generator periodically to "cook off" the condensation moisture from the oil. (NO internal combustion engine likes to sit.) The Wi-Fi reception is poor on the generator unit. My iPhone showed full strength Wi-Fi at the generator site. The generator reported zero Wi-Fi signal strength after accepting the Wi-Fi password. I ended up having the 4G LTE cellular option installed, this gave me the needed connectivity. I get an alert on my iPhone whenever the generator exercises, or is running due to a utility failure. All things considered, I would buy the generator again even with the faults mentioned above. It's hard to believe that the lack of flexibility regarding exercise time was truly an engineering decision, I fear it could be government influenced.

I live in unincorporated New Lenox; seems we lost power a lot. (Older Section, Above Lines, Transformers) Now retired with my wife, don't want to be messing around with extension cords, portable generator that won't start @ 3:00AM in the morning (plus No gas). After talking to Baker Electric @ the Tinley Park, Illinois home show, I was SOLD! (And I went to buy windows, so go figure). The Generac is the CADILLAC of Whole House Generators the way I look at it. Generac's sale's representee's are extremely helpful, responsive, and informative! Plus, the 10year warranty helped persuade me too. WELL SPENT MONEY!

We had our generator hooked up 2 days before hurricane Irma hit Florida Sept. 2017. We never lost one second of power at our house ,all our family brought there food to put in our freezer,so not only our family was helped out in the storm. We now have 3 other familys that are getting there own Generac. Thank you Generac for having a great product you truly was a comfort to us for 6 long days .

After having a flooded basement I decided to get a whole house generator. I was just going to get a Generac because of their excellent reputation. I did look at the competition and they were not bad. But nothing to prove they were better than a Generac. I bit the bullet and had the 22KW whole house unit installed. The installers did a thoroughly professional job. I was very pleased. Now I was ready for anything mother nature wanted to throw at me. Well it wasn't four hours after the install was done and we had a storm come thru. We lost power and the Generac came shining thru. Came on with no problems. It was only on a short time. But that just verified that I made the right decision to choose a Generac. The mobile link option is really cool. It is nice to have an update anytime something changes with the generator. Choose Generac - I did and very Happy that I did.

What would you expect to see or use with a WiFi enabled Generator? Would you like to know when or if your last weekly test run completed successfully? SORRY Would you like to know if the ON/OFF switch has been turned off? SORRY The APP crashes, so much so there is an option to send error report OR always send error report. What you get: 1) It will say if your Generator is ready (but not if it is turned off by the switch which they now put on the outside of the generator so any yahoo can turn it off, your away from home oh well guess the pipes will freeze, your family is in the dark and dont know why), oh that comforting feeling of having a generator...GONE 2) It will tell you the number of run hours 3) It will tell you if your battery voltage is good. 4) It will email you once a month with the above information. 5) Monthly report tells you if there was problems in the last 4 weeks, not immediately The app has a manual you can look up. If the app is working. The generator when under test is quieter than the older models. For example I cant hear mine run during test, but can hear the neighbors when his runs. In 3 months of operation we had one power failure and the unit worked flawlessly.

As a single mom of two youngsters in CT, after the storms and snow we’ve had here the last few years, I had to consider a backup power source when we moved into our “new” 45 yr old home last year. My primary concerns were the safety/comfort of my kids and keeping the sump pump in the basement powered. Yes, a portable generator is much less expensive - but having the 22kW generator with whole house switch is EFFORTLESS. Just tonight, I sat through dinner with my kids as the power went out due to high winds from a nor’easter - within seconds everything came back on and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Power was just restored 10 minutes ago and transferred seamlessly back and the generator shut itself off. I am so thrilled with this generator, and proud of myself for investing in it, that I felt compelled to write a review. Let power outages be one less thing you worry about!

Our 11kW Gernator has just passed 96 hours of run time, almost all of the hours as weekly maintenance runs, and has had maybe 4 hours of emergency run time under load. It now has a oil leak on the drive shaft seal that will cost almost as much to repair as the generator cost originally. The unit looks pristine in the enclosure other than this. When you consider how many hours you put on a typical engine (say your car), it is just not acceptable that a $6 seal would fail. My on line research indicates this is a common problem, so it isn't that I got unlucky. I would not buy Generac again.

This brand new unit installed yesterday, 12/23/24, will not stay running and smokes after a short lived start up. Shows a code of 1207. Panel light on, power light and auxiliary switches are on. Air cleaner duct not attached, back rail of unit bent and unit has small dents upon receipt.

Got the in-home product estate; agreed to terms of estimate on 13 Oct 2021; had generator installed on 22 Oct 2021; had start-up test done on 3 Nov 2021. technician explained everything exceptional well. explained about checking the oil, very professional!!! all in all I highly recommend OK Generattor ( Larrison Elec) for this product and the rest of their line-up of Whole Home Generators.

I recently purchased a 24kW Model 7210 and had it installed last week after moving to an area that has frequent power outages. What a fantastic piece of equipment this generator is the Auto Switch and WiFi monitoring is incredible and works great. I'm ready for any power outages now, what a piece of mind knowing if we are away power will be automatically restored in seconds without having to do a thing. Highly Recommend Generac!
