Have lost power four times in the last twelve months due to trees falling on utility lines and taking power out. Decided to purchase a whole house backup generator and after researching products, chose the Generac 22kw. The generator is the lifeline to the house and annual maintenance provides peace of mind and assurance the generator is ready to go when needed. Great investment for our home and our lifestyle.

The company responded quickly to my quote request and kept me informed throughout the ordering process, answering my questions, and scheduling the installation. Tommy and his crew did an excellent job installing the unit and kept me informed throughout the installation, testing and explaining the functions, warranty as well as maintenance services. The crew did a fabulous job cleaning up and back filling the gas line and power trenches.

I have an associates degree and one of the guys helping with installation is an electrical engineer with 17 patents to his name as well as having worked for NASA . No so much me but i thought this other guy could get generator up and running. What a poor startup menu and instructional manual you have. Beyond frustrated.

First off, let me say the generator and the crew who installed would get 10 stars if possible. Make sure installer has someone to handle all permits and follow through as we had to run on generator all night due to permit not being sent to power company

I had an electrician install this generator brand new out of the box. It started right up and worked fine, however we couldn't get the Wifi module to work. I called Mobilelink and we couldn't figure it out, so I had to have a service tech come out to trouble shoot. Turns out the wifi module wasn't even plugged in. So we plugged it in, connect to the internet and did a software update that ultimately fried the control unit, so now the generator won't even start. The control unit is now on order and am waiting with a very expensive giant paperweight sitting in my yard. To make matters worse, there is currently a heat wave with rolling power outages and my generator is just sitting there doing nothing except burning a hole in my pocket.

As a Florida resident, I know that weather events can adversely affect me for extended periods. This generator allows me, along with my pets. to stay safe and comfortable until power is restored. In addition, the control panel is user friendly and it is easy to check the oil status when called for.

Recently had the whole house generator installed. The employees doing the install were great and very knowledgeable. I did lose power about a week later for a short time and the generator came on exactly as it should. Would recommend this generator and Metro Electric to anyone in the market.

This is a wonderfully looking brand new generator, I just wished it could run and generate electricity. I'm offered a five year warranty, but the service people say it will be 2+ weeks before they can get to it, and it will cost $250 for the first hour of diagnosis. No point in saying anything critical about the produce since you will not post a critical review. American quality is a thing to behold, and mourn.
