After the third power outage due to storms I'm convinced I don't ever want to be without my Generac again. In each case it only took seconds before the unit kicked in and out kept us comfortable. The first time, during a hurricane, we ran on it for 3 days. I forgot we didn't have electric. Even the neighbors came to check it out.

Pretty straight forward install. My actual costs were about half what a pro quoted not including chasing parts and my labor. Commissioning was straight forward also. Notable notes: Im not 100% satisfied on the auto start. The engine start takes longer than i like and it stumbles a bit. Plan to recheck gas service. Its also a bit louder than expected. From pre buy conversations with local dealers i dont expect much support either because i didnt give them the total sale. Consider that before you buy from a wholesaler.. I will review again after the first power loss.

Actually, aside from it looking good, We have no idea how well it works. We have not had any type power outage since installation. Further, we have attempted to "be there" when the unit initiates its bi-weekly "process". As yet have we heard it start up. Therefore, we're unsure if it works. We've contacted the consultant and he checked the time & date and the schedule and pronounces it "good to go". so, at this time, we are in a "wait & see' mode.

This is a company that keeps you in the loop. I had ongoing communications with them on installation, training, and follow-up. Terri, in the office had so much knowledge about the process, she was my go to whenever I had a question. Whole house generator is pricey, but you get what you pay for and this gives us peace of mind.

We use this as backup power running on propane. Works fine. My wife was not going to go crank something. It comes on about 10 seconds after a power failure. We have a 22KW unit and it powers everything including a 4 ton HVAC. I love it. Be careful about placement as this is an engine and makes some noise. We have it on the side of the garage away from the house and we can barely hear it. A neighbor installed his (natural gas) and has had problems. Don't have a clue as to why. I just know that mine works flawlessly.

Since installing the generator we have had 3 power outages. It is so much better to have an automatic turn on with enough power to run everything. Also with a service contract we do not have to worry about taking care of our generator and it will always be there when needed.

The general speaks for itself I'm enjoying it very much when the power goes off I can continually enjoy my day at home whether it cooking cleaning or whatever I do t have to sit around and wait for power to come back on and great features to keep everything running in your house. Thanks Generac

This is my 3rd Generac Generator and I have nothing but good things to say about its line of products. Very quiet compared to diesel generators, quick startup time and everything you need is included. A little bit expensive, but overall great purchase.

I kept waiting for a power outage to see if the unit would cycle as it should and it performed perfectly when the outage happened. The unit is the required distance from the house and is barely noticeable when running. BTW: The installation was done by people that knew what they were doing in a very professional manner.

This is my second generac unit. The new one is much better than the first. The steel case on the first rusted very quickly here in S. Florida. The battery charger on the new unit was a terrific addition but did require some new wiring that the first unit didn't need. So far no problems (in use for six months).
