Customer reviews for LG 5.0 cu. ft. All-in-One Washer & Dryer Combo w/ Inverter HeatPump Technology forGreat concept but does not work
Would not recommend this product. I bought it two weeks ago and so far I have issue drying clothes. I had to dry my same clothes 5x and they are still soaked and now smell bad. I cleaned out everything and nothing is fixing the issue. I am planning on returning the machine since it is not working.

Great product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using it for months, and I really love it. Once you put it in, it's so convenient to do laundry to drying at once, but after it finished, dust sticks to the door, so it's annoying to clean everytime. I'm satisfied with everything except this.
Does not dry well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave it two stars because the wash cycle is great. But it does not dry. Ran three kitchen towels through the machine and it ran for just over 6 hours before it said it was done. Hung a 4 minutes remaining for almost 3 hours. When it finally finish, towels were still wet. Shaking then did not change that. I had to put them out in the sun to finish drying. I REALLY wanted to like this unit but I am not installing a cloths line to make this work. Gasket also catches lint and it is really hard to clean off.
Hi, Thomas17. We are sorry to hear about your recent experience with the drying performance for the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG Ventless Washer/Dryer Combo LG WashCombo™ All-in-One 5.0 cu. Ft. Mega Capacity with Inverter HeatPump™, Model # WM6998HBA. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience you’ve encountered. The drying time remains at 4 minutes due to the moisture level sensing. At this point, when the intended dryness level of your load is not satisfied, the WasherCombo™ All-in-One will maintain that time at 4 minutes to complete the dry cycle, however, it should not take up to six hours, and your towels should not be wet. We recently improved our gasket for this lint issue.and we will be glad to have it changed for you. Thank you for bringing your concerns about the issues you are experiencing to our attention. We value our customers and would like to make this right if we can. Please reach out to us on social media with the handle @LGUSSUPPORT, or call us at (800)-243-0000 so we can get this resolved for you,..^IVan.
great features and large capacity tube
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the washer on 1/2/24 after unboxing it looks of the sleek color of it and how the face looked was impressive. I started using it and the first load that was done was towels and 12 towels a small kids robe and a mat unit worked great. The dry cycle was a bit long but and the all the towels came out 100% dry which I was impressed. I also used a Tide washer pod in which I do not recommend at the end of the wash cycle there was suds left over in the unit so the easy dispenser works great. DO to the fact that it give the perfect amount of detergent. Also we have used all different settings. found the if energy setting is off it makes the wash cycle much faster. The clothes come out perfectly washed and dried . The thinkq app is a wonderful feature it takes the guessing out of when the load is done. It also has great features for the maintenance of the machine like tube cleans. With a house of 6 people this machine has shown to be a great washer dryer combo the tube is the perfect size and quick to wash and dry .
Total Upgrade!
This machine rocks! We replaced our old washer and dryer with the LGWash Combo last week and are thrilled with the upgrade. Not only does it take up less space and use less than half the electricity of the old units, but its automatic detergent/softener dispenser, filter system, and other smart features make this a super easy time-saving device. Thank you LG!
Hey there Aaron! Nothing beats having an all-in-one washer unit like your LG washer/dryer combo unit so that you can clean your laundry in one go. Don't forget to sync your unit with the ThinQ app so you can enjoy even more features and have an even better laundry experience. sm art washer/dryer cleans very well & saves space
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I heard that LG had combined a washer and dryer into a single unit, I was curious to see how both would perform together. I was also excited about the opportunity to reduce clutter from the laundry room. After several days of testing, I am extremely pleased with the results, and I will never go back to separate washer and dryer units again. First of all, there are plenty of wash and dry cycles to choose from, based on what you're cleaning, and whether you want to run a standard cycle, or use the AI sensing built into the unit. I love how AI and smart sensing detects and optimizes the fastest time to clean and dry each load. After several wash and dry cycles, the performance has been consistently great so far. Clothes smell clean and fresh when they come out, and smart drying has worked flawlessly so far (no damp or wet items have needed additional drying time). The AI combined wash/dry setting has been excellent, but individual wash cycles for delicates, permanent press, etc. have performed very well also. This unit will be a big time saver for me, because I no longer have to move heavy wet clothes / bedding / etc. from the washer to the dryer. I also don't have to deal with damp clothing left in the washer indefinitely while I run (and re-run) the dryer until the towels or jeans finally dry. I can plan my day without being tethered to the laundry room constantly. (Where was this years ago?) For the smart home fans, setup and integration with the LG ThinQ app was quick and easy. Removing the old washer and dryer from the laundry room allowed me to add more shelf space for folding and storage, while still decreasing the clutter in the room. The laundry room now looks much larger, and feels both more modern and more functional. 10/10!
Best best best absolute must get appliance!
This is A GAMECHANGER and the best best best solution for my family as a busy mother of four. No more going up and down the stairs with bulky hampers every twelve seconds of the day (or realistically: constant piles on the floor because I’m not the most consistent). My KIDS now have a hamper and drop their own laundry in because they can reach easily, press two buttons (so easy my 7yo does it), and in 2 hrs it’s washed and dried!!! And without vents that meant we could slip it in our hallway by the bedrooms!! I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best thing of the year for me.
Easy - Beautiful - Efficient
I reviewed this product a few month ago when it was first installed in my home and gave it a very positive review. Now, after using the All-in-one for a longer period of time, I still feel the same. For me, it is a time saver……just load it up, start it up, and forget about it. It does a good job getting the clothes clean and dry. They feel like they might be damp when they come out immediately after the appliance stops, but that feeling goes way right away. Sometimes, the clothes come out really wrinkled from all the twisting in the drying process. Since I have been using it for while, I do have a couple things that bother me. The lint removal system is overly complicated and I have had it get jammed and had to muscle it out. Also, I have to clean the rubber around the door which seems to collect all the dog hair and a fair amount of lint. All in all, I am very pleased with this appliance. So much so that I recommend it to my friend and she bought one! She loves her’s too. It is beautiful to look at, easy to use and does a good job. WIN!!
Convenient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this combo a couple months ago and it's the greatest thing ever. Its extremely convenient to put your clothes in, forget the transfer and be done. The drying time depends on the size of the load. I've seen 1hr 45mins to 3hrs. Its great that you dont need a gas line or a exaust vent. You can literally place this anywhere an electrical outlet is available
Buyer beware. Great for a week, then terrible
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazingly convenient… for a week. After that the u it stops drying effectively, requiring 3x drying cycles for a small load. Service tech came and told us he would never recommend this unit, especially if you plan on doing laundry more than one load per week. To fix the issue he had to take apart the system to clean off the condenser. Said in order to keep it drying this needs to be done regularly. When I say disassemble I’m talking getting out the tools and taking it apart. I absolutely do not recommend.
Hey there. It seems like the unit started off great, but maintaining it requires frequent disassembly for cleaning, which may not be ideal for those with regular laundry needs. To help with drying issues, you can try checking the lint filter, vent hose, and load size, as these can all impact performance. Ensuring you're using the correct cycle and that the drain pump filter is clear can also help. Learn more tips in this link: http://spr.ly/6421qKDCl.
