These are the fastest rusting SS I have ever used. Even with hand washing and being extra careful, I noticed spots and rust marks the first week. Even at $100 sale, these are not good quality. Steak knives need way more effort than the kitchenaid knives I was trying to replace. The kitchenaids get cleaned in the dishwasher every day for several years now and look better than these knives do handwashed after 1 week. Both of them "German stainless" but the henckels are completely inferior quality. Did not even get to use the main blades, only the bread knife once and steak knives a few times, and I am getting sick of dealing with the rust already.

Finally, the perfect knife set to replace my 10-year-old knife set. This knife set is very sleek And it works great. No more dull knifes that will cause cuts. The knifes are very sharp and have good grip. It has a built-in knife, sharpener that wonderfully! The wooden knife block adds a nice little pop in color. I would definitely recommend this set anytime.

Henkel self- sharpening block. This is a 13 piece set, 11 knives, kitchen shears and a block that will keep 3 of the knives sharp. Those 3 are typically the ones i would use everyday. I've had henckel knives in the kitchen for well over 30 years and this is the first with a self sharpening knife block. So excited! The knives have a nice balance and the crisscross pattern in the handles have a good feel and grip. I like to do the tomato test on knives every now and then to be sure they are sharp and they don't disappoint. Check out the video. The 6 steak knives are half serrated which i didn't know if i would like but i just used them to pick crabs and they worked well. Cleanup is easy as well with this all stainless steel set because there is no wood and tossing them in the dishwasher is safe. I always would hand wash sets with wooden handles. When in the block they also look great on counter with each knife labeled on the stainless steel block topper so nomore grabbing the wrong knife by accident. I hope you enjoy this set as much as i do. My wife enjoys using them as well. And you know a sharp knife makes kitchen cutting easy and safe. Dull knives need more down pressure which can typically leed to more accidental cuts.

This set looks really nice on my counter top, a bit big but fits fine! Love that it’s all one piece no wooden handles for food to get stuck in. Sharp and comfortable to use, and the self sharpening feature is a great bonus. I never put my knives in the dishwasher, always hand wash and dry. Didn’t get the chance to use the steak knives yet but it seems the whole set is great!

This 13 piece self sharpening knife block is amazing. It comes with every piece you'd need to cook any meal. I love the self sharpening element so they stay sharp for life! The knives and block are great quality and the color of the block matches with any kitchen decor!

Prior to grabbing this set, my family had another set of Henckels knives that were very similar. We wanted to grab another set of Henchels again due to the quality of the knives. Firstly, they last almost forever and are very tough. The blades themselves are high quality. The steak knife blades are serrated. The set comes with a very nice looking block. The knives themselves have stainless steel handles and are very comfortable to hold. Would recommend.

Wow… I really wasn’t sure about this knife set being good but all I can say is I was wrong. I’ll start with its slim design. Such a good nice fit on the counter. Aesthetically it is really nice. The handles have a really nice grip, which is great! But the sharpness of the knives is really where the gold is at. I was able to chop chicken effortlessly. It was like cutting butter. Tomatoes too. I love this set and so happy with it.

This Henckels Diamond 13-Piece Self-Sharpening Knife Block Set is a modern, slick looking set with metal/acacia wood block. The set includes bread, chef’s, paring, santoku, serrated utility knives as well as 6 steak knives and a pair of food shears. You can accomplish any chef’s needs with this versatile set. You can chop vegetables, cut bread, peel fruit, slice steak, clean fish, and do anything else in between. The knives are very sharp and three of them (Santoku, Chef’s and paring) have ceramic self-sharpening slots (see picture), which is super helpful as these knives are used for most tasks. These knives are easy to clean as they are made from one piece of metal and don’t have separation between blade and handle. The handle fits nice in my hand and does not slip. The only two drawbacks that I could notice are: 1) The block is a bit long and might require more counter space, 2) The knives should be hand washed promptly and dried thoroughly to maintain their appearance and prevent rust. Overall, for the price, it is a very nice looking and multifaceted knife set.

Didn’t like them

I needed a set that didn't look dated or cheap. I found that and much more in this set besides being german stainless steel. The 13-pc set is an exceptional value for the amount of items included. The knives are well made. They are balanced, strong, and very sharp. The self-sharpening block is a added bonus to this set. It will help to prolong the life of each knife. The fact that the block wood look and is labeled to ensure that each knife is stored and subsequently sharpened according to their individual specifications. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.
