The best pergola and/or gazebo I've ever put up with my son! Installed on 5/30/26, only took 4 hours with 2 people! Very heavy duty, I would change anything about it. My only criticism would be for you to add at the beginning of the instructions “determine where you want the louver mechanism” so they can determine where to start with the first post. Can anyone tell me what the metal fold out shelf is on the electrical box? Is it a shelf for cell phones? Missing a few rubber nubs that go on the end of the louvers, how can I get more? So great, so heavy duty….I'm extremely happy and so is my family and pets for shade!!!! Has anyone installed roll up/down shades? If so and you like end result, can you reply with what brand?

This is the 4th time we have purchased something from backyard discovery. We love everything we have purchased! The sarasota pergola is wonderful and we are so pleased with how it turned out. The quality just can't be beat. We highly recommend backyard discovery to family and friends. Thank you!

We LOVE this pergola!! My husband and I set it up, should have had a third person! It looks great on our deck with our black railings. We keep the louvres open at night to see the sky. Highly recommend this pergola!

I installed this in my backyard in Florida, and it gives great shade in sunny hot days and keeps us dry in the rain. Great for my table chairs and barbecue grill. Solid up to 150 miles per hour winds during hurricanes. Electric and gutters for rainstorms in florida. Just love the finished Product!

I bought this a month ago and got it installed. Backyard Discovery did a great job with the instructions, really made building it go smoothly. The Pergola itself is awesome, the finish looks great on it and it feels like something way more high priced than we paid for. The quality of the steel is great on it and the opening and closing of the top works really well. We did struggle with the some concrete anchors breaking during the drilling and that was with using the recommended pilot hole and taping off the depth. I would recommend stronger concrete bolts. Drainage works well and the power adapter is really neat. We ended up mounting a fan on it and it made the space really nice.

This Sarasota Pergola was and is incredible! Instructions were perfectly explained and the parts are of complete quality and fit very nicely together!!! Very nice job Backyard Discovery!!! I have been a fabricator my whole life and this was executed beautifully!!!!!!!!

This pergola is very useful for our church patio. It provides great protection from both the sun and rain, and we can easily open or close the roof whenever needed. We are very happy with it! I also recommend having it installed through Sam's Club's third-party installer for a professional installation.

Less than a month after my pergola installation I noticed many anchor bolts connecting it to my concrete patio were broken off. My installer & myself questioned the strength of the bolts before installing, they were definitely not what you'd expect to use in securing the pergola to concrete. I had to purchase concrete blocks to put on the 4 pole flanges in case of bad weather. Hopefully, we can find better grade concrete anchors. I love the pergola, but am skeptical about it withstanding a North Dakota winter.

Satisfied with the product, but VERY DISAPPOINTED IN $300 OFF 5 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE. Sam's only will match price up to 3 weeks after purchase. So much for membership advantages!!!!

Great purchase. My husband and I put it together. The only thing we needed an extra person for was to stand up the 2 posts in the third or so step. It's a little challenging to square up.
