Not enough room
we previously owned the samsung 28 cu. ft french door fridge and it went out after many years of great use. we went with this one because of the water/ice dispenser and were so disappointed because the design of the inside is simply awful! it is not deep and because of the awkward shelf placement, you can only put gallons of milk in the fridge if you remove one of the shelves, leaving no room at all inside. shelves around icemaker are useless and small. do not buy this one, the layout is not user friendly at all.

This is a "don't Buy"
refrigerator that just keeps breaking, ice maker is just worthless, i have to defrost it every 4 to 6 weeks and it quit all together after 2 years and i had to replace it. the controls for the "flex drawer" are directly under the split of the upper doors and condensation drips on to the control panel and has damaged it. it stopped working so you could not change the temperature but i just left it as it was... 2 days ago the temperature controls started changing the temperature every time you opened the drawer. . it is not cooling the refrigerator now. 3 years old poor software, terrible touch controls that cannot take a kitchen environment.

Horrible design and reliability
We thought we were making a sound decision purchasing the 28cft 4 drawer French door refrigerator in October 2019 after historically purchasing washers and dryers (2x) and several TVs over the years. The refrigerator is a utter disappointment We've had problems with the ice maker the entire time. It has stopped making ice, stopped dispensing ice, crushes ice when on the whole cube setting and continuously grows mold on the rubber parts. The ice maker and related electronics have been replaced a total of 4 times under both the manufacturers warranty and the extended warranty with the last replacement being September 30, 2022. The finish below the icemaker has also started rusting. If something spills on the bottom shelf and gets under the glass it is a nightmare to clean.
Samsung Addresses Issues with Their Products.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so pleased with my new Samsung refrigerator. I was worried that the icemaker issues that preceded the Samsung models prior to this one had been addressed by Samsung. Apparently, they have and the refrigerator is working super. I love the FlexZone Drawer. I use it for so many items. I purchased this same eariler model in 2021 but had no issues with my refrigerator. I love my unit and was so happy that Samsung addressed the issues with the earlier model. Thanks Samsung for placing the "Trust" back into a great company and their products. It matters so much for the End-Users that are so very busy in todays life style.
AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE. TERRIBLE!
the ice maker is absolute trash. 6 months after owning, it froze up. we would thaw it out and it would last another 2-3 months... we tried leveling it differently and the issue repeated in another 3 months. just enough time for the warranty to expire. i understand the frustrations that i have with my samsung counter depth 4-door french door refrigerator with flexzone drawer and i do not want this thing anymore. please come take it! the only money i'm going to spend on this unit will be the removal fee when my <better brand> is delivered... don't bother opening a ticket and sending / charging me for a service tech. (fun fact, the service tech will just tell you to get a different brand...)

Don't be fooled by it's beauty
Looks great; many mechanical issues. The ice maker stopped working within a year and was replaced under warranty. The new one only lasted six months. The main part of the fridge doesn't defrost correctly; you can see ice build up in the vent spaces near the top. The result is that it cannot maintain a safe temperature, always being warmer than it should causing food to spoil. The drawer section and freezer work great, so if you wanted it for a beer fridge, it'd work fine. I love the way this fridge looks and functions, but I will not waste my money on another Samsung appliance. Yeah - the washing machine didn't last either . . .

Ice Maker quit
purchased this suite of samsung appliances from costco in nov. 2019. the ice maker started making a horrible grinding noise. when we finally managed to extract the ice bin it had been frozen solidly in place with ice all around it. apparently when trying to extract it, some of the plastic was damaged and the ice bin won't go back into place. so we now have a large hole in our fridge and no ice maker. don't bother with this piece of crap.
This situation sounds rough for anybody to go through. I'm sorry for the inconvenience your ice maker has caused you. Do not buy
I have only bought 1 Samsung refrigerator and i have many friends who have also and we have all had problems within 5 years. My friends got rid of theirs and we have repaired now twice, trying to save money. I will never buy Samsung refrigerator again. I just want my fridge go stay cold and ice machine to work. Samsung should make things right and refund customers that had a defective refrigerator. Never again.
