The problem with these reviews is the old ones upvoted are not accurate now. They changed the packaging, It's true there is two and not three anymore. People are complaining of sweet. I agree. And salty too. Only a very thin layer of the meat soup was placed on the bun or else it felt like eating straight concentrated bbq. There's meat unlike what people say but only a few chunks. Most of it was shredded little pieces. It's not awful. Reminds me of bao meat filling. The white bun that's all bread and a tiny bit of very salty sweet meat. Edible but, far from the best.

Love this extra large size, it's so good for making a meal or two out of. I just made a huge pan of pulled pork nachos with it. So much flavor and you don't have to do a thing but heat it up which can actually be done right in the microwave. Think tacos, nachos, and even salads.

First off, this was like soup. More of that bbq broth than actual meat. "3lbs". I can't believe this is an actual product. Talk about name brand inferior quality. For $16 at a bulk grocery store I expected enough meat to sink my teeth into. Not something I would have to drain or eat like a soup.

I bought a package of this to make tacos with for Cinco de Mayo. My teenage son came home from school with a friend and they immediately ate four tacos each! Two hours later, I had to make the second package so they could eat another round of tacos before dinner! These were so good, the two boys ate the entire 3 lbs. of pulled pork within two hours! I will be buying this again very soon, but I will most likely need to buy two or three packages!

Thank goodness we bought a 1 pound package of this at Publix before we wasted our money on 3 pounds at Sam’s. This stuff is disgusting. All we could taste was sugar, I have no idea what the pork actually tastes like. Once again Sam’s has eliminated a wonderful product, Bryon’s pulled pork, and brought in something totally not acceptable. I had bought the Bryon’s for years. It was perfect and delicious! We threw out the left overs of this stuff. Would NOT recommend!!!!!

the meat says what is BBQ and I thought the sauce came separately but in reality the meat is already prepared with the sauce and when you taste it it is too sweet to be BBQ, if you are not one of the people who likes a lot of sweet, I do not recommend it

This is not a good buy. I tried three times over three months to see if I just got a poor quality batch and to make sure it wasn't consistently poor quality. But no....you're paying for the name only. 70% grizzle and fat...15% liquid and 15% actual pork. Never again!

May taste good but do not know. Had to return since pouch was punctured and sauce was all over the tray and inside the cardboard overwrap. Poor quality control perhaps, but do not intend to buy this product with low quality checks. Who knows about the meat handling if they could not even quality check the outer packaging. Found out when returning, this product is from a meat processor and only pays for the use of the JD name. JD is not making this product or overseeing its quality.

I grew up on a farm where we ate pork regularly, and even today I enjoy eating it more than most (I also enjoy an occasional glass of Jack Daniel's Whiskey). However, I was extremely disappointed in this dish. While the pulled pork looks to be good quality and is relatively lean, it is absolutely overpowered in a far-too-sweet and not-very-tasty sauce which in no way reminds me of the flavor of the whiskey. I will not buy it again.

I purchased this item on Oct 18th, at Sams club in Columbus, OhioI had to make two trips to purchase this item. The item was 13.98. I wanted the 3 lb but they only had the 4 lb. It has a nice taste and I would purchase to take to a pot luck but not for a cookout at my home I would purchase another brand that my family likes.Price was right , as I said taste was good and portions good for sliders.
