Seems like it will so the job!

I haven't used yet in power outage. So far the only negative is how to get maintenance cover off after srews are out. Directions don't tell you about fasteners you have to pry off.

It is doing its job

This little thing has been running for 24 hours straight, with a low idle running sump pump, net, tv, fan, and a light. No complaints. I wish it was larger wattage wise, but its working. I have had it for three years, used maybe two hours before now. Never changed oil or gas, started right up. On fifth tank of gas.

Great product Good value Just needs more outlets

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I bought the A-iPower Gas Inverter Generator for $399.98. This generator is much smaller than the one I have for large appliances and other items in my home; however, it's nice to have because it's easily portable. You can use it while camping, tailgating, using electric tools, or just when you need portable electricity that's far away from an outdoor receptacle. It's lightweight at 47.4 lbs and portable with wheels and a telescoping handle to move it around easily. I like that it has both a normal 120v/20a and 120v/30a connections; however, I do wish it had an adapter that combines both outlets to make three regular three prong outlets. I like that it has a built in LED light and LED backlit display so you can see when it's dark. Being able to see the total volts, frequency, run time, and fuel gauge in a few clicks is very convenient as well. It should run up to 9hours @25% load. When running even with a constant load, it's pretty quiet. It also has a CO sensor making it safer than other ones because it will automatically turn off if it senses the CO2 levels are too high. It's easy to start with a pull cord and turn off with the turn of a dual. It's nice that there's multiple tools and items provided that are necessary for the initial setup with the exception of gasoline. The fuel breather cap is easily readable and it's a nice feature to prevent unwanted gasoline odors while the unit isn't in use. A feature I would like to see in a generator of this size and price would be a propane fuel source connector so you're not always reliant on gasoline. I also like that it comes with a three year manufacture warranty.

Good

I purchased my unit a few years prior, so there are a few exterior differences to the current model. Has sat in storage as a standby gen-set and only made occasional run ups......until the recent severe storms that knocked out power all weekend in my area. This unit saved my bacon, literally- keeping the fridge & deep freeze going until the grid was restored. When first bought, I was rather impressed by how all of the extras were included with the unit, as opposed to the competing brands that would gladly sell you those things as 'optional'. Great features and value for the price. May be a very small bit more noisy then the big name competition generators of the same class, but for the price this is a equitable trade off. All around a solid investment.

Awesome Generator

This little gem powered my home for more than a week after hurricane Ian. It will run for 6 to 8 hours on a tank of gas and is quiet. I ran it 24/7 only stopping once to change the oil. Ran fans and the refrigerator during the day and lights and a window ac at night. The engine is made by Yamaha (mine, at least) . I’m buying another to link them together. You won’t regret this purchase.

First time used, wont produce power.

Purchased, tested ok. Recently had a 3 day total blackout here in Puero Rico. Generator failed! Starts and produces power but only for a couple of minutes! Then wont produce power but engine stays on. Fist time use after 6 months of purchased and it doesnt work. Seemed to strugle with a normal 1 door fridge and 1 fan.

Disappointed

I bought thhis generator because texas is texas. I got it home after spending a good amount. Ot looked great and like it would be a good purchase for me. When i got it home and opened the box it was not an easy deal. I called the manufacturer and was told it is confusing so he attempted to talk me through unscrewing all panels and handle then he told me to.hold on because he was a little lost. I told him you knownwhat indont want tonsteip any screws or damage it and i dont want to take all panels off of the generator and i would just return it

I loved the generator at first. The first one I bought was a little different and did not have the CO sensor. And it has always ran great then, I bought this model and after 8 hours. The co sensor went off while we were boondocking., and it would not go off unless of a service tech fixes it. Problem was it was in the outside not in an enclosed area. If you can get rid of the CO sensor it would be great.

Hi Sandra, thank you for your feedback—we’re glad to hear you’ve had a good experience with your previous unit. The CO sensor is an important safety feature designed to shut the generator down if elevated carbon monoxide levels are detected, even in outdoor environments depending on conditions like wind or placement. If the sensor is continuing to shut the unit down unexpectedly, we recommend having the unit inspected by a service technician so we can determine the cause and get you back up and running. Please feel free to contact our support team—we’re happy to help. ~A-iPower Customer Support Team

Worked great

Used once for my daughter’s softball game. I hooked up a torpedo heater for the dugout to help warm up the team during a cold spring game. They loved it and the generator worked great! The generator worked flawlessly and was unfazed when the torpedo heater fired up.

Excellent Portable Generator and Customer Service

I bought an earlier version of this generator about 4 years ago. Now with 870 hours of flawless performance, I did notice the last couple camp outings something wasn't right. It wouldn't allow me to run my camper 5k BTU AC unit on High, but only on Low. It would cause an Overload fault. As I mentioned, it had been flawless without fail up to this summer. I did a bit of experimenting by process of elimination. I plugged my camper AC into the house current, and it ran without fail eliminating the problem with the AC. I also had a camp buddy bring his portable inverter generator over to test run the camper AC and it too was without fail, but as I plugged the AC again into my generator it would go into Overload and fault. That said, I contacted the manufacturer and ordered a replacement Inverter Module (Approx $110 shipped). By the way, this company has GREAT customer service support! The replacement was painlessly simple! The 6 Phillips screws on the front cover, 2 tiny Phillips screws on the tow handle, and 2 10mm nuts on the module. The 4 connecting wire harnesses are designed so not to confuse what plugs into where. It took me all of 20 minutes for the whole disassembly/reassembly process. When assembled and tested my camper AC on the generator, it runs like new and no more overload faults. I might add that the new invertor module has some upgraded components to it. This is a GREAT portable generator and would highly recommend it.
