Unfortunately the onions got soft really quickly. I ended up having to throw 2 away within a week of purchasing. I'm used to onions staying fresh considerably longer. However I did move from Arizona to Florida so maybe it is something with the humidity.

The onions are priced fairly and taste good but I have found that every time I purchase them, several of them get rotten before I can use them all and I do use my share of onions. Still worth it, it is just a bit annoying that I end up wasting some of them.

I like these sweet onions in my day-to-day cooking. They typically seem on the edge of “too-old”. I buy them regularly, use half of them in my cooking for a couple weeks, and dehydrate the remaining onions for homemade onion powder. Wish they were organic!

This is the 4th or 5th time we have purchased these onions that have had at least 1 rotten onion in the bag. Considering the extremely long shelf life of onions, when properly stored, I don't understand why so many bad onions are being put in packages to sale.

These really do taste delicious cooked or raw. They’re not as pungent as the Spanish or yellow. Doesn’t give my husband as much heart burn as the others. In fact he hasn’t had any since I brought these sweet onions. Especially when I made him his cowboy steak smothered with these onions & mushrooms. Man was he in his glory.

These are consistently good onions for raw onion servings as with certain foods such as hot dogs, in salads, etc. We keep a bag of these for that use in addition to regular large yellow onions for cooking. Every now and again, you will get a particularly mild onion that could be eaten like an apple if desired. But it is catch as catch can in that some are mild and others not so much. However, that being said, one never finds a very sweet onion in an ordinary bag of white or yellow onions.

These onions are huge! I use a lot of onions in my cooking. Many times sweet onions will go bad, quickly. That worried me about these, because of their size and amount. They did not disappoint. None of them went bad and I'm down to the last two. There were no bad onions among them. I will puchase them again, soon!

The Vidalia Sweet onions are among our favorite onions. If you like onions you can pretty much eat these raw, though we prefer slicing them thin for sandwiches, or chopped for a great tuna salad. Note that these onions tend to the large side, so make sure you have an onion saver. You don’t want to waste these, so you’ll need it.

I love the mild, sweet flavor of these onions. After some trial and error and research I’ve discovered that they keep best if separated and stored in the refrigerator. I put each in a 1/2 paper towel and store them in a produce drawer. They keep for a very long time. Room temp or keeping them touching each other will speed up their demise, but that wouldn’t matter if you plan to use them all quickly.

I buy these onions all the time. They taste good, and I like the large quantity. However, there is sometimes a rotting onion in the bag which can ruin the whole bunch if it is not identified quickly. When there is a bad onion in the bag, it's slimy which is gross to deal with.
