These really do taste delicious cooked or raw. They’re not as pungent as the Spanish or yellow. Doesn’t give my husband as much heart burn as the others. In fact he hasn’t had any since I brought these sweet onions. Especially when I made him his cowboy steak smothered with these onions & mushrooms. Man was he in his glory.

I'm kind of an onion snob. An acceptable onion has to have great flavor, be cured correctly and have a decent shelf life. This particular brand fits all of my criteria. Bagged amount on this sweet onion is just right for my needs... and we use a lot of onions!

This is the 4th or 5th time we have purchased these onions that have had at least 1 rotten onion in the bag. Considering the extremely long shelf life of onions, when properly stored, I don't understand why so many bad onions are being put in packages to sale.

These are not sweet onions. They are yellow onions in the bag. I think who ever fills the bags with onions do not know the difference between sweet & yellow onions. Every bag that I have bought the last few month's have had yellow onions in them. Very disappointed with this product. I do know the difference between the onions. The size and taste are very different.

I like these sweet onions in my day-to-day cooking. They typically seem on the edge of “too-old”. I buy them regularly, use half of them in my cooking for a couple weeks, and dehydrate the remaining onions for homemade onion powder. Wish they were organic!

Difficult to slice plus several onions were partially spoiled. I have been purchasing these onions for several years and anticipated that I would lose 1 or 2 onions however having to pitch almost half the bag is a bit too much. The reason that I didn’t notice the spoiled onions is that part of each appeared to be fine.

I love the mild, sweet flavor of these onions. After some trial and error and research I’ve discovered that they keep best if separated and stored in the refrigerator. I put each in a 1/2 paper towel and store them in a produce drawer. They keep for a very long time. Room temp or keeping them touching each other will speed up their demise, but that wouldn’t matter if you plan to use them all quickly.

We love Vidalia onions. They are very seasonal and in NE we usually can only find them at Sams for a few short weeks. This year, they were not as sweet and began to spoil quickly. Maybe we just hit the end of the season on this particular purchase. Still, a great product that we are happy to purchase each year.

The onions are priced fairly and taste good but I have found that every time I purchase them, several of them get rotten before I can use them all and I do use my share of onions. Still worth it, it is just a bit annoying that I end up wasting some of them.

The onions I received in my delivery were from Bland Farms, shipped from Peru and were in pathetic shape. More than half had mold on them and even the bag had mold on it. I buy onions at Sam's because they have always been better quality than most stores but not this time. Those who pick the groceries for delivery need to be better.
