But then I was able to buy this pergola and a similar sized gazebo and simply have a platform built to put them on, and now suddenly I have a great outdoor space. The gazebo is screened so I can be outside without the bugs, but it has a solid roof, so I've got the pergola for my grill and my smoker and my pizza oven so I can cook outside and have great ventilation. Saved something like $30,000, I would definitely buy this again. It's really nice, sturdy, and my building crew was able to put it up in no time at all. I had to wait for my son-in-law to arrive for the 4th of July holiday to install it as he insisted on doing the installation. The wood was very attractive. The hardware was all there. The pre drilled holes were perfectly positioned for ease of installation. The instructions were well organized and very easy to understand. Both of my son-in-laws were visiting along with my brother-in-law. We began the remaining construction that was not completed earlier in the garage and began the installation at about 9:30 a.m. and completed the installation at about 2:00 that afternoon. The installation was surprisingly straightforward and I couldn’t be more pleased. Well done, Backyard Discovery!
