Horrible quality of lamb.. very fat & old (sheep)

New Zealand has for years given a bad name to what lamb should look like and taste. Born and raised in south part of Europe, I have never come across such a large and fat piece of lamb meat (definitely not lamb but older/sheep) ... just gross AND not edible!

Prepared this sous vide, then finished on a hot grill.... Delicious, as tender as prime rib

rotten

Purchased this yesterday to serve to company tonight. The package was all swollen up and the meat inside was rotten. Do not buy. This product has not been handled properly.

Delicious Lamb

Affordable grass fed meat, high in protein. We've cooked it various ways: whole in a crockpot or pressure cooker (you get it super soft); we've sliced it and either grilled it, sauteed it or air fried it. The key is never overcooking it. We use butter or a little bit if olive oil and season it...it's one of our families favorite meats to eat. Some leg cuts can be really fatty so you can trim it off before if you like and feed it to your dogs.

Delicious!

Had an early Easter dinner with this leg of lamb. It was excellent. Very little fat, tender, no high rank smell. The family enjoyed it seasoned with garlic herbs de Provence, salt, pepper and a little olive oil and slow roasted. Will buy this again before the Spring supply is done and they run out of the lamb at my Sam’s.

Quality should be checked

I've purchased this lamb leg before, and I loved it. This time it smelled so foul when I went to cut it up into chunks, that it made me want to throw up. I am so sad about this.

It was spoiled

I purchased this item (boneless lamb leg) last weekend. The expiration date was 3 weeks later. But when I opened the sealed package it smelled so horrible and it was obvious that is rotten. I threw it away immediately. I couldn't return it right away and wasn't going to keep it in my fridge until I can. I love lamb meat and grew up with it but I am disappointed at Sam's club quality. It is too bad because the price is very reasonable for lamb meat in Sam's club.

Lamb was spoiled

Bought this middle of Nov 2018, expiration date Dec 3, 2018. Opened it shortly after purchase to freeze and the foulest odor quickly surrounded me. This is the second time this has happened to me, took this one back and got a refund. Next time I buy lamb from them I will ask them to repackage it so I can smell it. How can this happen??

Terrible!

I've had these before and they were ok, but this one we got was 50%+ fat, gristle, and silver skin. Will never buy again.

Taste like Rubber band packaging

I will never buy this again, what a waste of money. Taste like the rubber band sleeve they package it in.
