A good, basic flour, great for baking, at a great price. I came to comment on the new packaging that includes what appears to be a spout built into the bag. There's no instruction on how to get it opened properly. First I tried to separate the layers from the outer end and wound up tearing it, so I just cut with scissors across the end of it, which revealed a kind of "spout" on the inside of the bag. The problem is when you tilt the bag to dispense the flour into a container, the spout collapses and impedes the flow of the flour. So you're standing there holding 25 lbs. of flour up in the air, trying to shake flour loose without dropping it or spilling it all over. It looks like a good idea, I just couldn't figure out how to employ it. I ended up just opening the whole top as usual and moving on.

This generic brand is junk. Please bring back the Dakota Maid flour.

Bring back Dakota Maid. This flour is bleached.
