Great bluetooth headphones
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I really like this set of headphones. They have excellent sound quality, as I have come to expect from JBL, and the ability to adjust the settings (equalizers, noise cancelling, etc.) in the app is a really nice bonus, especially if you have a preference for more or less bass versus vocals. One of the big advantages that I noticed immediately is that there are controls on the headphones if you want to use them and/or don’t have your phone or other device in hand when you need the controls. It takes a little bit to get a feel for where the buttons are, but I really appreciate having a button that lets me easily toggle between noise cancelling, ambient aware, and talk through. I haven’t used the others much at all since it’s easier to just adjust volume, skip tracks, etc. when listening to music from my phone, but I could see the other buttons being really valuable when being connected to other devices that are not within easy reach. Most of their basic functions are really intuitive, though it might take a while to get used to the extra controls that are available with a long press or double-tap. The microphone on this headset is fantastic. Calls were very clear in both directions, and the over ear headset made it a little easier to block out distractions on a work call so that I could just stay focused on the business at hand. I haven’t tried making a call in windy conditions yet, so I can’t speak to that, but calling when indoors was especially clear (and the mic even picked up the bit of echo when I walked into a small room). So far, I’ve used these mostly to listen to music while working and simultaneously walking on a treadmill desk, including all-day work sessions with only a few breaks. These stayed comfortable all day, unlike most earbuds, and also did a nice job of blocking out the noise of my treadmill to make it easier to focus. The noise cancellation isn’t perfect- a little bit of sound does still get through—but it’s better noise cancellation than I get with my best noise-cancelling earbuds and is more than enough to tune out distractions. The leather on the ear covers is really soft and comfortable. It did get a little sweaty after a few hours of walking, but wiped off easily. I probably wouldn’t use these to work out, and they’re not small enough to easily toss in my work tote, but these will definitely be my go-to for days that I’m working from home and for when I need to tune out significant noise. These are also likely to become my airplane headphones for long international trips as well because they’ll make it so much easier to sleep. Finally, if you’re looking at this set of headphones, you probably primarily want the Bluetooth connectivity, but it’s worth noting that there is also an option to plug these directly into a standard AUX jack. Personally, I’m going to find that functionality most useful on flights, but you might also find this to be a useful option for any device that doesn’t have Bluetooth (or for which you just won’t want to mess with the Bluetooth).
Solid Headphones
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't think I was going to like these as much as I did but they sounded pretty sweet. I love how the low end is and how crisp the highs and other elements sounded with these. I did feel they were pretty tight at first but within minutes of listening to these it didn't bother me. I do like the multi connection feature a lot. The NC is just right and doesn't bother me like my airpods do. So that was a nice touch for sure. The sound overall I felt was nice and balanced. I do wish I could EQ the low end to my liking though but that's ok. I listened to dance and metal on these and both genres sounded pretty sweet. The build quality feels solid and not cheap at all. The charge holds up as well. This is my first of headphones like these and I'm satisfied.
One of the best headphones I've ever had
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This headphone is amazing, lightweight, the sound quality has JBL's standard amazing quality, lots of bass to the bass lovers, and the noise canceling is amazing, not only I can't hear people around me when it's on, but people can't also hear what I'm listening too. 100% recommend. Plus the battery lasts for days!
JBL TUNE 770nc some of the best headphones ever !!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I so dig my new TUNE 770nc headphones. I used them on a bike ride right after I received them and they are so awesome (well they are JBL, THE BEST !!!) I then used them to call some friends and they could not believe I was on headphones .. I had to let them know they are the new JBL TUNE 770nc
The Good, the Loud, and the Not-So-Pretty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alright, let's ditch the boring tech jargon and get real about these JBL Tune 770NCs. Buckle up, because here comes the straight-up scoop from a fellow music lover: The Good Stuff: Battery life like a champ: These bad boys go on and on like a never-ending playlist. 50 hours with ANC? I dare you to listen to that many podcasts in a row! Plus, a quick 5-minute charge gives you 3 hours more juice, perfect for when you're caught short before heading out. Comfy like your favorite hoodie: Seriously, these hug your ears like a well-worn beanie. The padding is plush, the headband's adjustable, and even after hours of rocking out, your noggin won't feel like it's been in a vice. Peace out, noise pollution: The ANC does a solid job of silencing the outside world. Airplane rumble? Gone. Chatty coworkers? Vanished. You're in your own sonic sanctuary, baby. The Not-So-Good Stuff: Sound ain't no audiophile dream: Don't expect studio-quality precision here. The bass can get a bit boomy, and the overall sound isn't the crispiest. But hey, for everyday listening and pumping yourself up at the gym, they do the job just fine. Plastic fantastic (not in a good way): The build quality leans towards the "budget-friendly" side. Sure, they're not gonna shatter if you drop them, but they don't exactly scream "luxury." Sweat happens: These aren't exactly waterproof, so intense workouts might leave you with some soggy ear cups. Stick to light cardio and they'll be your gym buddy, but leave marathons for the truly sweatproof models. The Verdict: Look, the JBL Tune 770NCs aren't perfect, but they're a solid pair of headphones. They're comfy, have killer battery life, and do a decent job of silencing the world. If you're looking for a way to tune out the chaos and immerse yourself in your music, these are definitely worth checking out. Just don't expect mind-blowing audiophile sound or Olympic-level sweat resistance. Ultimately, the bass on these headphones is a double-edged sword. It's definitely their strong suit, but it might be a bit too much for some listeners. The key is to try them out yourself and see if they strike the right balance for you. If you crave that floor-shaking rumble, you'll be grinning from ear to ear. But if you prefer a more nuanced sound experience, you might want to keep searching.
Almost Great
I've had this Tune 770 for a few weeks. It works very well. I listen to audiobooks. Everything comes through clearly. Sound is cancelled quite well. When I listen to music I get great bass and treble. The only thing is, I had a more expensive set of headphones that I lost. It took me a while to figure out how to turn this one on after the other system which was much more direct and intuitive. The graphic directions didn't help me.
Over ear NC headphones w/ full sound & portability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love the Tune 770NC over ear headphones. On paper, they checked all of my needs. I have a pair of favorite earbuds, and a pair of incredible wired headphones (gaming headset). I was looking for some portable, noise cancelling, over the ear headphones. If my head was (much) smaller, these might have worked.. but the comfort just wasn't there. I'll go through each attribute that stood out and describe who I think these would work well for and who may want to pass. (Spoiler: I'd give 4.5 stars for these as children's headphones) Sound: 4/5. The 770NCs sound great, but not amazing. Compared to my aforementioned buds (JBL Reflect Aero), and my headset (JBL Quantum One), these just can't quite match the range or clarity. Noise Cancellation: 4/5. Similar answer as above for noise cancelling. Great but not superb. My Quantums make you feel like you are in a sound-proofed recording studio. These are on-par with my NC buds. Portability: 4/5. These headphones are nice and lightweight, and fold up decently. A point off for not folding across the middle into a tidy little bundle. (Especially given that they aren't designed for lux comfort). Comfort: 2/5. Here's the main issue. They are just uncomfortable after more than an hour or two. I have a fairly big head, but still. The cups are pretty small, the padding on the headband is thin, and worst of all, they clamp your ears pretty tightly. For a very small person, like a child, maybe this rating would jump to a 4 or 5. Battery: 5/5. Simply incredible. I charged them before first use, and used them very very often over ten days... I was hoping to see how long I could go before needing to charge, but they are only at 70%!!! App / Connecting: 5/5. Just good. Beyond easy and intuitive to setup, connect and use. The app is nice, buttons and features rock. Seamless connection between multiple devices and no bluetooth dropouts. JBL just keeps getting better here. So all in all, I cannot recommend these for a full sized human. But for a very small adult or a child, these could be a great sounding, solid, portable set of headphones.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We're always looking for ways to improve. We'll make sure to pass this along to our development team.
"These things Rock"
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These over the ear headphones were quick to become my favorite. In addition to a 70 + hour battery charge they have a quick charge - 5 minutes gets you 3 hours when you're in a hurry. They were very easy to pair via Bluetooth, and the adaptive noise cancelling feature worked really well. My favorite feature is that the sound level is adjustable, which was a pleasant surprise. One of my biggest complaints with headphones is that they don't get loud enough for me, well just hit the "+" button and these things get loud. I found myself actually turning the volume down just a bit on my phone. Liked the flat folding feature when not in use for storage. Go from listening to music to answering phone calls almost seamlessly. Product and sound quality are what you would expect from a JBL product
Overall general user experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Style- Simple no attraction Sounding- 40mm drivers delivering quality audio with an expansive soundstage and a subtle emphasis on bass, resulting in a pleasing musical experience. Great - NC, Long battery life of 70, Bluetooth 5.3, Google and alexa assistant with easy button. Bonus- The inclusion of app integration has increased its likability and added a fun element for users exploring different music genres. Some premium features with cheaper price estimated during the mid-range headphone. Foldalbe and it's light weight and also very portable. Not so great- No wear detection, wearing for an extended period can result in the ears becoming quite warm, Design. Hard plastic band and no foam support over the head.
Love it!
Absolutely love the sound quality and they never fall off!
