Affordable not always the best

Save up your money and buy a better mattresses. This is hot especially in summer heat in Texas. I wake up a lot burning up. This is owning it for 3 years and it's still hot. We are not looking into buying a coil mattress with no memory foam.

Not as advertised

I bought this mattress less than 2 weeks ago and have already returned it. It was extremely firm, like sleeping on the floor. It never expanded to 12 inches, 9 1/2 at best. Unzipped the mattress cover and it was 2 layers and not 3. Would not recommend this product at all.

Poor quality

I have the Serta 14 inch king size for our master bedroom and I love that mattress. Decided to buy the 12 inch for our gest bedroom queen size. Was at the club pickup up one of the boxes went home opend the box and the cover was ripped. I could see the damage of the cover through the plastic. Took the mattress back at the store returned it and picked another box. Opened the other box home and waited for the mattress to expand. It expanded only to less than 10 inches and the cover is loose. For the price this is not acceptable. Will start the return process. If I wanted a 10 inch mattress, I would have bought a 10 inch mattress which also cost less.

Not a fan!

I purchased a new mattress this weekend from somewhere else because I honestly thought that we have had this mattress for waaaay longer than a year. It's been uncomfortable for about 4 months now. We have rotated it on a regular basis to keep it level. But it is still uncomfortable. When I looked at my Sam's club purchases, it has been just over a year. I felt like it was way too firm before and now it has spots that we just sink into. I hope the mattress I purchased this weekend has what it takes. I wouldn't recommend this mattress for anyone with aches and pains prior to purchasing. Because you will have them after about 6 months of sleeping on this bad boy.

Just too soft! Trying to return.

We bought this mattress 3 months ago and have really tried to like it. My husband cant sit on the side of it without sliding off and hates it. And I have horrible difficulty turning from side to side while lying on it because I just sink into the bed and just this morning I couldnt even get out of bed without help from my husband. (Truth be told I am not a tiny woman, more like a 2xl, but I have never had this trouble with any mattress including cheap air mattresses.) So, we chatted online with Sams and they gave us a Sams/Serta number to call. We called and gave them all our information. Supposedly in a week or two someone will call us to arrange a pick up and then we have to call back with a pick up number and they will credit our account. Then we will move our 10 year old worn out mattress back to our room and maybe we will have an ok nights sleep until we can by a better one. What a hassle. I am not sure I like this whole bed in a box idea! Really not sure memory foam is all its cracked up to be. I think we will end up doing the old fashioned thing and go to a mattress store if and when Sams ever picks up this thing. So if you like a really super soft mattress this might make you super happy. Otherwise, think again.

Not a good quality mattress

We purchased our mattress online for in store pickup and brought it home and immediately put it on the bed frame. The mattress never rose above 10”. And in fact, in some places it rose less than 10”. We gave the mattress a couple of weeks but it never rose anymore than it did in the first few hours after it came out of the box. I suspect that because the mattress was defective and didn’t rise properly, it also was much more firm than it should have been and caused me back pain every night I slept on it. We called the Serta line listed on the product page but was told that because we picked the mattress up in store, we would have to work with the store as they don’t help with anything more than a warranty claim if purchased in store. Sams told us we would have to return the mattress in store for a refund, so keep that in mind if you also have trouble with your purchase. We had to rent a uhaul to return this faulty mattress to the store which was a pain as it was a king and heavy and difficult to maneuver. So overall this was not a very good experience. I expected that Serta would be there to help us if there were any problems, making the return process simple, but that simply wasn’t the case. Had we purchased online and had the mattress delivered then perhaps it would have been different. Since that isn’t made clear in the product description where they recommend calling the Serta line for any issues, I thought it would be good to relate our experience here.

Bad customer service

I got this mattress Feb 2018 and while it was comfortable at first that's not the case any more. Mattress seems to get some what deform and is not comfortable anymore. Waking up to back pain almost daily. I try to refund/exchange at the store but they told me it needs to be handle by the serta team. I call them and while they seem to care, i got an email a day later saying they can't do anything and it needs to be handle by the store. Went back to the store and guess what? They want serta to handle it. Nobody wants to take accountability for it.

Great Affordable bed!

to be honest the first couple of weeks on this bed I considered returning! IT was just too FIRM.. I took the cover off and put on a regular fitted sheet after the first couple of days. After that it started to soften up a bit.. Now it is Wonderfull to sleep on. I have severe arthritis and scoliosis. so getting the right bed was important to me. I have less pain now than I did with a regular pillow top mattress. This bed is also very affordable...

Terrible

This is the first review I've ever left but I think it's important and hopefully it will prevent someone else from having problems. I bought this mattress due to back issues. It started out great-for a few weeks. Within the first month it got a very large dip where I sleep that is so bad you can see it when the bed is made. After two months I rotated the mattress and now there is a dip in the new spot. For reference, I weigh 120 pounds. My back is worse than before I got the new mattress. I have only had this mattress for a few months. I have much less expensive memory foam mattresses that I purchased for my children from another company that have held their shape for over 5 years and are clearly higher quality products. This mattress is terrible. I regret ever buying it.

Sam's Club Mattress Service...

I ordered this mattress on black friday of 2018. The mattress we received only expanded to 10" even though the tag on the mattress said it's a 12" mattress. I thought it would expand to 12" over time but it never did...I forgot about it until 6 months later when i placed an order for twin beds for my kids. I called sam's and they setup an exchange and the new one was shipped the same day. I will always buy mattresses from sam's. I hope their service for other large items are just as good.
