I was considering more expensive bed-in-box mattresses (all $1000 plus online), most were hybrids, based on YouTube reviews. I opted instead for this much lower-priced memory foam. For the low price, I thought, well, if it sucks, I won't have invested too much in it. To my surprise, this is a really good mattress. I thought I wanted something really firm because I am larger and had been sleeping on an unsupported, worn out coil mattress. I was worried this would be too soft. It's not. In fact, if anything, it might just be a touch too firm. That said, it is super comfortable. Keep in mind, there will be a little bit of "sink" into the spot you are sleeping in (it is memory foam), so if you move over out of the spot, you might feel the incline a little bit. But, so far, after a couple of weeks, the sunken spot doesn't remain day to day, i.e., it seems to re-firm after getting up for the day. The sink-in does not bother me that much, but I enjoy moving out of that spot, onto a firmer unsunken spot, which is also comfortable. I think it will help also to rotate the mattress fairly regularly. As for heat retention, I had a cotton mattress cover that breathed well, and there was no heat build up. I switched to a higher quality "waterproof" mattress cover, and I noticed more heat retention than before, so I may go back to the cotton one. Its not the mattress but the mattress cover I selected. In short, for the low price I paid on sale, this is a super-comfortable, not too soft, and apparently high quality queen mattress. I have it on a very firm, metal-slatted platform, which works great (no more box springs). Are there more comfortable, more expensive mattresses? Probably, but I don't know. But spending more than $400 or $500 on a mattress seems insane to me. For the price and comfort, I am very pleased with this one (and I am often very difficult to please with these types of things).

Very good so far, my thickness is only 12 inches after 2 weeks but don’t think it would change comfort much. Will note it is a little warmer than conventional mattress. Too early to recommend.

Nice and firm but not too hard. I have a bad back so I usually wake up stiff and sore in the morning. This mattress has greatly reduced that and I usually wake up pain free.

this mattress is firm and very comfortable , cooler than other memory foam we have . using this mattress in a 2021 rv in place of original mattress . amazing upgrade .

Purchased this about 3 months ago. Very convenient to ship and easy to unpackaged. Mattress immediately went into correct shape and form. We used on a platform bed so did not need a box spring. Very comfortable so far and good price for value.

It was so EASY to install from the way it was packaged, to the rollers on the box, to maneuvering the mattress into place and then letting it expand. Grateful to Serta for that.

Sadly this mattress turned out to be less comfortable then the Serra mattress I was hoping to replace. Back aches returned, and very soft edges, not happy with the purchase.

Super comfortable and a very reasonable price. I bought my first one back in 2018 and it feels just as good as when I first got it. Now I bought a second one for the guest room.

Very disappointed waited at least 10 hours since we left the house and it never passed 10” definitely not the 12 they claim. Quite hard too not as soft as others very poorly described

When you sit on the side of bed it feels very firm. When you lay on it, it feels very firm, then you sink down in it and it feels great. A good buy for the price.
